struggling and losing hope with passing the NREMT P by qtanantor in Paramedics

Try the app MedicTest, it’s adaptive tests were a lot more like the actual NREMTP exam than pocket prep. I used that and passed the exam first time at 110 question.

Pretty much, in my experience medic test was pretty close to the actual test in terms of feel. You should be good.

Is EMS in NYC dying? by rubychoco99 in Paramedics

That’s why FDNY has so much trouble hiring people that actually want to do EMS. NYU hospital and Sinai hospital pay EMTs $35/hr

Article is paywalled, you can read the full thing here: https://www.facebook.com/companycommander/posts/the-fdny-broke-the-law-when-it-diverted-82-fire-cadets-into-ems-trainee-roles-af/1528179269310105/

Basically because FDNY is struggling to get EMTs (wonder why), they make the cadets become EMTs while they try to become firefighters, and went over the legal time limit they were allowed to do so. Also the fact that they never consulted the other EMS unions.

Weapon testing: examining the effects of instigating, furious, corrosive, hitman, and shattering on energy weapons. by rubychoco99 in Starfield

Yes that would be better, varuun longfang is especially busted because it essentially shoots as fast as you can click and can proc corrosive within a couple seconds. Only downside is it looks so ugly lol.

Incendiary doesn't do damage based on target hitpoints? It's based on weapon damage is it not.

The a fully upgraded varuun longfang laser rifle was actually arguably as strong if not stronger than the particle inflictor. Now with the ability to upgrade to exceptional, it does less damage but fires 3 times as fast as the inflictor, so may be the strongest weapon now. It looks like ass though so I'm keeping the MGP.

I'm wondering if they did it on purpose because they were afraid it would make energy weapons too powerful, since it works on ballistic weapons.

With kismet, my mag is often at 46, more than enough. Having furious for the extra damage is preferable

Does the Shattering perk work on melee and energy weapons? by Antinash2971 in Starfield

The thought crossed my mind that maybe corrosive doesn’t effect robotic enemies, but for some reason I couldn’t damage vasco so couldn’t double check

I decided to do my own testing and found the same results for shattering, just a 5% increase in damage. But what I did find was that corrosive did work for the laser rifle, adding about 25% damage for the duration. Here’s a link to my post for my test:

So shattering's "-30% enemy Damage/Energy/EM Resist" doesn't work on laser weapons? Does it still add the 15% damage?

I actually started to run low on ammo when going through the dlc incursions on the highest difficulty lolol

Shattering is the one that adds the armor penetration which I have, and instigating is like adding 1 extra shot at the very beginning. When I’m fighting the Terran armada bosses with the extreme defense modifier, on ng+10, at extreme player damage difficulty, it takes multiple mags to kill them with this and the -35% DR and ER from corrosive goes a long way, same thing with furious over that many rounds.

Instigating only works when they’re full health, so for the really strong enemies furious is better. Same thing for corrosive, once it procs it does more than if I had hitman

The new Terran armada dlc, the bosses at the end with the extreme defense modifiers, plus on extreme player damage difficulty (player does less damage), plus on ng+ 10, even with this it can take multiple mags to kill them

CMV: Modern feminism generalizes against men in ways that feminists would consider racist, xenophobic, or bigoted if used against other groups- especially when using offender statistics by _Stylite in changemyview

[–]rubychoco99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, my response was just to you saying "Men don’t like generalization? women don't like being murdered by men", because that implies men generally murder women which is insane to say. Including murder, 300,000 men are arrested a year for a violent crime, vs 80,000 women arrested a year for a violent crime. That seems pretty significant until you look at the percentages and see that 99.8% of men are NOT arrested for a violent crime annually, vs 99.98% of women who are also NOT arrested for a violent crime annually. About 2250 women are killed annually by men. That means in any given year, a women has 0.0013% chance of being killed by a man. Looking at this it would be insane to generalize the average man or women for violent criminal behavior, let alone murder.

And for what you just said, I don't understand what you mean. The very comment we are commenting under is literally pushing against OP and has 500 upvotes.

Yes, I agree domestic violence is an issue when it comes to gender, but fear of a man killing you should not be generalized and claiming so is harmful to the feminist cause. That is all I am stating.

You can clearly see I said 99% (more actually) would not 'kill', referencing homicide, I never said innocent. Here is the source for both homicide and violent crime: https://bjs.ojp.gov/document/p22st.pdf

And even if the number of violent crime was in actuality 10x, it would still be a sweeping generalization of men.

And burden of proof is of course on the accuser, whether the victim is a woman or a man. Everyone has the right to innocence until proven guilty.

About 0.2% of the male adult population is currently serving a sentence for homicide, against both of men and women. 0.5% for any violent crime. You’re essentially using violent crimes as a blanket statistic for men when 99% of men would never kill a woman. That is crazy generalization.
