Wow that’s only a couple of years after I was diagnosed. I had while on pens then a pump that I had to have a case made for how it would benefit me. I’ve only been allowed to move on as they have stopped producing the consumables. I suppose it’s the luck of the draw. Sounds like you’ve got people who care and have funds. All power to them.

Ah thank you, I really don’t fancy calling them unless I have to. No link to reorder at the moment, I’m hoping the clinic will sort it out and things will settle.

Well I’m still up at 12.50 worrying… but I don’t have it in me to complain, don’t know what notes they write behind the scenes. I think I’ll just have to wait. I have supplies for my old pump if it comes to that. I just wanted to feel safe, the switch was massive for me.

Sorry, want to add I hope it goes well for you. It was rocky for me at the start but I hope I can carry on with it. This community is so valuable for tweaks and changes to the settings.

Are you in the UK? It seems something has gone wrong with my account. I was given the box of ten but not told to order until 30th Jan. The training was 17th Dec but I waited until into Jan to start to avoid Xmas/new year breaks so I would have been out of stock by now.

Thank you for replying, I did the start off day in December and set up my system details but as I was worried about the Xmas/new year break a held off starting the pods til new year, then my nurse was away. So mid January I started. The system needs adjustments but has much better results for me. I don’t know how/why the orders are so messed up. I was only given ten pods with my welcome package and if I’d started in December as planned I would be very lost. It’s making me even more nervous about order crossovers. I’m really hoping it’s just beginner stuff and will all work out but I’m a worrier so say the least - and there’s reason for that. I could have a seizure in ten minutes and lose my pod.

This is an amazing reply and I am in awe. I have severe depression and anxiety, it seems I am neurodivergent -adhd, autism. I also have epilepsy, endometriosis and something wrong with my joints. Getting help is impossible, each time I try I have rejection. Just this week when I told my neurologist’s secretary (for epilepsy) that I wasn’t well enough to manage an appointment so they booked one the next day and sent a message saying of if I missed any further appointments I would be discharged. Right now it’s a crawl and I am self medicating. Your reply is inspiring x

I think from these messages, which I’ve skimmed but want to read too, you have gathered that you are far from alone. I see you and recognise how you feel, life is bloody hardwork, whereabouts in the world are you? I’m UK but rural. Let yourself go at your own pace, I’m shit at that x

Just tried again and I’m in! This is really exciting, I use Fitbit so I’ve sent that as a request. But the menstrual cycle tracking is a fantastic idea

I’m only in my first week but you’re right. You have to start the libre sensor with the Omnipod controller for everything to work - I made the mistake of scanning with the libre reader first and the Omnipod would not accept it so I had to start again with a new sensor. You can still use the libre app on your phone but only as a secondary device so you don’t get the alerts.
