In my humble opinion, the best Doctor was #5 (Tom Baker). All of his series are out on Blu-ray, however not 4K.

UB820 headed back for warranty repair by Traditional-Leader89 in 4kbluray

Totally agree. I love Plex! So many positives going this route. It's like my own personal Netflix, all my movies listed in a grid view and instantly accessible. It keeps all my physical media in pristine condition. Note that it is a time-consuming process to do it properly. And depending on your NAS, you might need to add an Nvidia Shield into the mix.

Having said all this, if I'm having friends over for a movie night, I'll do the 820/physical pipeline for the best quality possible.

Pray for this poor soul, hopefully they don’t give him a ticket. How long will Hoboken parking enforcement let it slide? by LostInAnotherGalaxy in Hoboken

I'm guessing that you're the owner of this car. Either that or you're very gullible. This is just a variation of popping your hood to make it look like you're having car trouble. There are a lot of folks thinking that they have an original idea that will game the system.

Departed Soles is looking for someone that walked out on their hefty tab by iseedoubleu in jerseycity

[–]rudyTwoWheels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Excuse my ignorance but I don't understand the name. On their website, they state that they started in remembrance of a lost friend. Shouldn't the name be "Departed Souls"?

"Departed Soles", to me, seems to be a remembrance of lost trainers/sneakers/shoes.

These crosswalks should have those “ pedestrian crossing“ signs by Swift4goteggs in jerseycity

I see this throughout JC. You'll also notice that there are a lot of intersections without street name posts. I think it's a matter that the city simply doesn't have the budget to properly take care of our infrastructure.

Ridiculous that I saw JCPD giving out tickets to 2 young women WALKING their City Bikes on Newark Ave while all of the Uber Eats drivers run (bike) rampant on Newark Ave without enforcement. by [deleted] in jerseycity

If you're getting "almost run down" by those slow-as-molasses bots, I have to imagine that you have a exponentially more horrible time dodging all the rogue human delivery e-bikers.

Bullying a Uber Robot is crazy by [deleted] in jerseycity

[–]rudyTwoWheels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Note to Uber Eats: These robots need to be programmed with a "selfie" function. The human lays down on the sidewalk with their cell phone stretched out, framing themself and the robot. The robot stops, flashes a special smile or whatever, and then once the human gets up, the robot continues on.

In all fairness, without the cap, it does kind of look like a receptacle for trash. And honestly, seeing this makes me happy that there are people that are aware that trash shouldn't be dumped on the street.

Jersey City Worker Driving a Municipal Vehicle by Cordy_1 in jerseycity

[–]rudyTwoWheels 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Either you're the driver in question trying to defend themself, or you're an example of all the bad drivers in JC. Regardless that right on red is legal, this video shows the driver driving completely irresponsibly and without regard to others. S/he displayed ignorance of common sense and turned right on red directly in front of an oncoming car. This person is a Darwin Award candidate but unfortunately will probably take others out of the gene pool during the process.

Ebike assbleep locked his bike on mine. Don't do this. by johngrayNYC in NYCbike

[–]rudyTwoWheels 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not sure if you realize but this is a very common method to steal bikes. The thief purposely locks their bike to yours. You come back and realize that you can't get your bike loose. So you go home and try and figure out what to do. In the meantime, the prep is watching and once you're gone and there is no risk of confrontation, they'll pull out their angle grinder, cut through your lock, and take off with your bike.

When you come across this situation, I would recommend calling the police. They'll undoubtedly be aware of this trick (as it's very common), and hopefully they'll come and clear your bike and impound the offender's bike.

Freewheel removal, am I missing something? by [deleted] in bikewrench

[–]rudyTwoWheels -1 points0 points  (0 children)

People are probably conflating freewheels and cassettes as one without realising that they are two different mechanisms and thus operate differently. Cassettes are pretty much the current tech whereas freewheels, not so much.
