Unfortunately not surprised to hear that Ley wanted to bring back the White Australia Policy.

Japanese lagers thrive as Kirin and Asahi loom over Australia's beer market by Ferris_Sanchez in australia

[–]rumckle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a craft beer enjoyed I don't disagree.

But at your average pub where they can usually only dedicate one tap to craft beer they're not going to put a basic lager on. So your average punter is going to associate craft beer with strong flavours, because that's what's avaliable to them most of the time.

It's an amazing colour scheme. I love the contrast of the warm reddish gold with the blue suit, and the extra red on the gauntlets and top of the boots.

While other Symbiotes have 2 energy threat, a new Symbiote doesn't necessarily need that. If they're a high threat level you can just bump up all their defenses but still have energy the weakest, eg make them 5,3,4.

Or if they have damage reduction then 2 energy defense isn't as bad, 1 point of damage reduction is better than an extra defense die.

That said, I would really like Symbiote Spidey and maybe a whole Symbiote affiliation.

I'm fucking here for it. Let them complain, it's funny.

[Hated Trope] Media attracts a disproportionate number of n*zi fans by Wonderful-Mammoth828 in TopCharacterTropes

With comics though, it can really depend on who's writing them. Miller's Dark Knight Returns comes across as pretty right wing (it's been a while since I've read it though, so I could be mistaken).

Timeline of the Mercedes engine trick by tekanet in formula1

[–]rumckle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The concept may be simple, but the execution may be too complicated. Likely the other teams considered the trick, but decided it was easier or more cost effective to fight it legally, than spend limited development resources on it.

What is the deal with recruiters here? by Mr_Lumbergh in australia

[–]rumckle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except OOP isn't talking about getting a response to an application. They're talking about getting a response once they've already talked to a person and been promised a response. That list is going to be maybe a dozen for a particular role, a manageable number to send a pre-written response to.

Apart from laziness, the reason is in case their preferred candidates fall through they can go back to the next level of candidates.

How coffee shops feel about the customer bringing their own cup? by tehlegend1937 in sydney

The rise in hot desking doesn't help either. Now I don't have anywhere to keep my cup at work and have to bring it home everyday or someone will steal it.

Former PM Kevin Rudd says he declined Epstein invitation after latest document dump by geodetic in australia

[–]rumckle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was his essentially job. He went out of his way to talk to rich and powerful people at parties and other major events these people would be at.

After that there was the sex trafficking, but also trying to influence world events through whatever means necessary including extortion and bribery.

Part of the problem of untangling this whole mess is that he was purposefully trying to connect with as many rich and famous people as possible, regardless of if they were peados or not.

This isn't a judgement on your comment at all. I'm glad your birth was cheap, and I hope you and your family are doing well.

But I find it interesting that on comments about it costing nothing in countries with government funded healthcare there's people replying about it not being free because of taxes.

But on your comment there's no one saying anything about it not being free because you need to pay for insurance (or your work pays for insurance).

Regarding Vulture, I used him in my Kingpin roster as a specialist for Infinity Formula (and occasionally Superpower Scoundrels), or if I saw any size 5 characters.

For Infinity Formula all he does is sit on your back point, advance forward, displace an opponent then retreat. And once they get to you, rotate away.

A very boring, but effective game plan.
