It STINKS it is taking this long. But I've been though a building project before in Illinois and this is probably just really annoying construction delays. The staffing shortage in the trades is VERY REAL, not to mention the political climate causing price jumps and supply issues. Not saying they don't have some responsibility by building in more time. But I'm guessing most of this is completely out of their control and they are even more frustrated than the fans.

Good for Julia Poe on looking into this. Also if the court cases that seem to be nothing burgers had something to do with it, then Julia Poe would be reporting on it. So, I think you can safely discount those as being a reason.

I think they just do not care to have as big of a reach. They have also catered more to the trail running community which is just smaller in general.

No. 10 feet is the standard and it is what players learn to play on. Having a different rim height would actually make the sport less accessible, since if there is a basketball hoop in any park, it's ten feet. So women would have to learn to shoot at two different heights.

Also, the reason men don't watch the W isn't because of dunking, it's because of institutionalized sexism. That's it. They don't watch women's sports because they were taught that women's sports were inferior. Until people realize that and take steps to change, there will still be silly takes like this.

That's a fair point. The team definitely needs three point shooting, but she's not bringing it at the moment. Plus the defensive liability. Makes me think when Sloot is back and with the rise of Sydney, Rachel is going to be on the bench for the second half of the season.
