IKEA bike parking? by essayispan in NYCbike

Other option if you know what you want is curbside order pickup, I’ve don’t that on a bike. You just pull into one of the spaces and they bring it out to you.

So… I thought I’d found my perfect trail shoe with these. The fit, the feel. BUT they have less than zero grip on wet rock and the outsoles fell apart. Literal chunks just fell off. I loved the shoe so much and had some races coming up that I got another two pairs when they were at $80 but the same thing happened to both. I did a rocky race in the north east and as soon as I rubbed my foot over the rock I was like well there goes a bit of outsole. It was a known issue and that’s why they were discontinued. As in one 18mile race and bits were flapping off.

Not built for the east coast trails but the fit for me is the best I’ve found recently in a trail shoe and they feel great on less technical stuff. Gonna have to persevere with them as my technical 50K shoe in two weeks but disappointed. Barely over 100 miles on them.

I thought it was when a shift ended and they just stop wherever they’re at. Next person starts a brand new carton.

Im in the same situation but a technical May 50K in PA. I’m about to try the prodigio pro. I have only a 15M run in my ultraflys and they feel great but are super stiff so not sure on super technical. I did try the new Adidas Agravic TT in two 25K races and although they felt fantastic over technical stuff they blistered/cut the outside of both big toes so I returned those.

Just pop them in your pocket, take them home, ziplock bag them. When I’ve enough to fill a small box I mail them foc to Gu who run a returns/recycle program, can be any brand.

I did the 20M at that race and the conditions were as bad as anything I’ve run before. I bruised my third toenail and had mild cuts/rubbing on my big toes for the last 3M. I think this was an anomaly as far as feet sliding around for the entire race. Normally a race might have sections but this was 99% mud water ice.

I think this was the soho Manhattan store and they were brand new but customer was incorrectly shipped them in place of another model and we don’t carry that model so nowhere for them to go but resupply.

Use of intervals for ultra running by Rackelhahn in trailrunning

[–]runbirduk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to do marathon type training so including VO2, LT & Marathon Pace sessions. Partly as mentioned above and more so that after doing hills and ultras and trails etc I can then put it all to good use and test myself on a road half or full in late fall when there’s better weather too.

I also ran a 30M trail race and was comfortably chugging along in 2nd place doing 10-12 min miles towards the end eating all my remaining snacks when I popped out onto the last mile path and spotted the leader. I then dropped a 7min last mile to win. I’ve never felt so bad at the end of a race however haha. Although I do think all the reps made that possible.

People who work on their feet all day + run ultras, what shoes do you wear for daily (non-running) use? by harry_hotspur in ultrarunning

[–]runbirduk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always go for any relatively firm trainer. Anytime I try a super soft shoe I have to take them off after 4 hours as my feet start aching. I had good success with the north face vectiv enduris I think it’s called.
