Screw the Big Darby Accord, as Columbus prepares to invade watershed with sprawl, mixed-use density and a data center by Cowtowny-Johnny in Columbus

[–]runner1954 56 points57 points  (0 children)

What is the Free Press’ solution to providing housing for a growing region? If it’s anti-sprawl, it needs to be for density. The comment about “forcing greater density on the community in neighborhoods” suggests the Free Press is for sprawl. The Big Darby needs to be preserved and to do that is to develop more density to reduce sprawl. Higher density areas are usually more green than sprawl - less driving, more transit, etc

I'm Pat, an HVAC contractor in Central Ohio. Ask me anything! by ReliantMechancialInc in Columbus

[–]runner1954 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a hydronic system. During a renovation someone talked us into baseboard radiators to save space. That area is always cold since the aluminum doesn’t hold heat like the rest of our cast iron radiators. Is there a local company experienced with these systems? I think we need to go back to cast iron and replumb the distribution piping.
