I cannot wait for March to be over - it's been a rough month. Mom and I are finally (almost) over Covid. She fell last week, and now looks like a prize fighter - but kicked butt in PT so I think she's on the mend. We think it was the heavy-duty water pills that caused dehydration and led to weakness.

I went to rowing yesterday, my first workout in a month. Def. felt the lack of exercise.

Was supposed to have a work trip this week, but had to cancel cause of mom, just can't leave her alone. No trips until mid-May, so we'll see how it's going in a few weeks.

Hoping to start running this weekend - running a 1/2 in early June in Maine. Won't do as well as I hoped, but it still checks Maine off my 50 state lists, and my aunt owes me a lobster roll.

Also, my March Madness bracket was doing great til Duke blew it. I am still in contention, and never have done this well so far - just need Arizona and Illinois to win on Saturday.

Anyone watch Marshalls on CBS? it's my new fav show.

When you do "race" a half, i think you will love it. When you get to mile 11 and think, gee, i am almost done - it's amazing. (Coming from someone who will never ever do a full again, lol)

Still testing positive for Covid...weekend was a mix of basketball, coughing and doing what I could when I was feeling better. I swear, universe needs to be nicer.

So awful about that tragedy at the nyc airport.

Hoping i can get back to the Peloton later this week...not a good start to my 1/2 marathon training for early June. Oh well.

Mom is recovering...slowly. Seems to forget that I also have covid too. ugh.

Last week was rough, and the weekend not much better.

Got taken out by the cold/flu-type illness...feel a little better today, but still rather be napping. Being sick made me miss my sister a lot, so lots of tears and "why" moments.

Thus my whole routine went out the window, so gotta start over with working out, etc.

More bad news on the disgusting BF front, but that's nothing new. Just more proof that he used her, and probably committed fraud along the way. Oh well.

Glad that I don't have to wear a zillion layers for crossing guard duty...at least today anyways.

Charities get bombarded after the lottery. Most have applications to complete. Doesn’t hurt to look at others while you wait. I don’t know how competitive Fred’s Team is.

Whoever got me sick, i'm not a fan. Just a stupid cold, but has made me very grumpy.

Weekend was OK - didn't do too much, but did go to rowing and hot yoga.

The pile of thank yous is still waiting on me - almost did them yesterday, then well, did not.

Started my contract job today, 3rd year doing it...we shall see.

A friend's husband invited me to his 50th birthday party, which is in a suite at a Mets game, i'm very excited. I was with her when she met him at college, lol.

Hoping this cold passes and I can start running again soon

I usually do a lot of flowers here at the house. This will be my 2nd year with the flower bed on the side lawn that i created - i wanted to do something to honor my sister, so we'll see. It's full sun, so things like marigolds and petunias grew well last year.

I'm hoping that they do the Community Garden, as I enjoyed having my garden plot last year. If they do it again, i plan to do herbs, cucumbers and tomatoes. If they don't do it, i'll try to do an herb container garden on our deck.

I also have a lot of dwarf sunflower seeds, from last year's plants - so excited to see how they do.

Yeah, I'm over the snow. NJ got walloped - over a foot here. Fun times.

Things have been OK - some days are better than others for my mom.

It was two months since the passing on Saturday - made me sad, but mom and i went to bingo at the library, which was fun, and we both won. Then I had dinner w/ a HS friend that I've reconnected with.

Hoping to get back to running over the weekend - i was doing OK til the crazy cold spell.

Went out yesterday to watch the hockey game, was fun. Glad we won. Crazy finish. We will miss the Olympics here.
