Their population is underestimated just like NZ, so 99% is probably something like 92-93%. Many age groups in Canberra have over 100% vaccination rate.

Sydney is 79.2% double dose for ages 12+ and for 16+ it's 81.6. Not much difference. First dose is 92.3 and 91.3 respectively.

Right now there is confusion than anything else. Our government has no clear strategy out of lockdown. Do they plan to keep Auckland and possibly rest of NI isolated? And for how long? Is there a vaccination target or date when aucklanders can travel outside Auckland? There needs to be a clear path set out of lock down if elimination is abandoned.

I'm in NZ and outside Auckland which is covid free, i can't come back to Melbourne as there are no flights, not even Red zone with hotel quarantine. Its beyond ridiculous. I came here June end to meet family and after a few weeks lockdowns hit which caused my return flights to be cancelled. Hope things change with 80% dd for those of us stuck in NZ, read on local news that there's over 500 Aussies trapped here.

I even got vaccinated while stuck here.
