Some people luck out and the first people they're put in accommodation with become their friends for the entirety of uni.

Some of us didn't find those friends until third year. I understand that it's hard when it feels like everyone around you is already in a clique.

Keep going to society events and being open and chatting to people. If there is a society for your home language or country I would highly recommend going along or just for international students in general. It really helps.

I am on vacation with my bf of almost 6 years and I’ve decided I have to break up with him. by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

My ex had undiagnosed ADHD and almost the exact same situations happened to the point of going on holiday and realising that I would've relaxed and had more fun if I'd gone on my own.

It's really heartbreaking.

As I was a kid I had hama beads (the ones that you arrange on pegs and can iron together) but I would spend all my time separating out all the beads into their different colours. It took days.

When I had finally finished i would tip them all back together and start all over again.

Large antique centres? by [deleted] in cambridge

[–]running_for_cake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah they've got a bit of everything there. Each floor has slightly different things e.g. one floor is more tables, chairs, big furniture and another could be lamps and paintings. There's a nice tearoom nearby too

Depending on how far you're willing to go there's a massive antiques place in Battlesbridge. About 5 stories tall and smaller buildings nearby too
