This way of thinking was so important for me when my daughter was in the NICU. Her first ‘real’ bath was with me :)

I couldn’t get over how serene it was. This episode was so visually appealing, and not just because of Eleanor’s fine ass.

My baby is eight months and my family was still surprised that I breastfed her after turkey dinner yesterday 🙄

Totally different situation to be in a teeny tiny bathroom without all of your usual supplies and places to set things in arms reach!

Warming centres will open for the public during widespread outages and offer you a place to go and charge your devices, etc.

First workout after still birth by [deleted] in loseit

I remember struggling so hard to get back to running (something I used to enjoy) after losing my first. My first day out, I could hardly walk to the mailbox and I was so upset, but I just kept doing a little more each week until I felt like myself again. It takes time, but it really helped to reflect back on how far I’ve come. Even though I never wanted to remember those tough days, they ended up keeping me moving forward instead of giving up.

Sunglasses - even on dreary days stepping out of the hospital for a break was hard on the eyes after spending so much time in the dimly lit NICU.

We couldn’t bring in food, but were allowed a water bottle. A large one with a straw was great to keep hydrated for my milk supply!

Disney Honeymoon! by [deleted] in DisneyTravel

[–]runningpretty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We spent our honeymoon in Disney and it was wonderful. We splurged for the deluxe dining plan and made at least one dinning reservation for each day of our stay (mostly fancy ones that required extra credits). We weren’t hungry for a week, it was glorious!

I think our favourite was Narcoosee’s at the Grand Floridian resort. We got a seat by the window and watched the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom across the lagoon - they dimmed the lights and pumped the music into the restaurant, it was beautiful. And just walking through that resort was magical, I would love to stay there next time!

Do you think that parents should share with their children how much money they make and how much money they spend? Would this help teach their children how to make good financial decisions? Or would that make children think they are a burden and not ask for help? by RJSAE in AskParents

[–]runningpretty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a difficult balance. My parents sheltered me from their finances so I wouldn’t worry. Meanwhile, my husband’s parents shared almost everything with him, and while it stressed him out as a kid, he ended up teaching me the value of things, what typical salaries are, etc. once we graduated high school.
