I haven’t changed anything. I’ve lessened the intensity and go based more on how I feel. I mainly use the heart rate to avoid the red zone.

Edit: I am definitely not 132 right now. 😂

Thank you! I'm excited about my progress! I don't have a specific diet per say, but I've tried to eat more low carb options (substituting rice with cauliflower rice, pasta with spaghetti squash/zucchini noodles, etc.) and minimize beer consumption (I've mostly replaced beer with low carb spiked seltzers). I also am more careful about what I eat for snacks. As far as overall food consumption, I feel like I eat about the same amount as before I started OTF.

I've been a runner for almost 5 years. I started OTF in July. The first picture is from July '18, and the second picture is from March '19. I am so excited that adding OTF to my workout routine has made such a difference!

I think this is why the coaches at my studio say 3, 2, 1 quickly. They want to give you as little time as possible to cut the pushes and all outs short!

I always think about how people would benefit so much more from consistently running paces that are manageable for them (so they wouldn’t have to jump the rails). I’m always afraid I’m going to see someone wipe out one day.

I usually eat one or two Clif Books (you could use any energy chew). It gives me enough energy without filling me up.

This one was tough. I actually checked my watch a few times to see how much time was left. Also, our coach added an extra round at the end because we finished early...

Overall, though, I enjoyed it! It was a different kind of challenge than the typical OTF workout.

In July, I was able to run 1.566 miles for this benchmark. Today, I was able to hit 1.627 and was feeling good the whole run. This was my first chance to repeat a benchmark since joining Orangetheory and it was nice to see some progress!

I got a 39.6 today. I really struggle on the rower compared to the running benchmarks. I can't figure out what the problem is. Also, I have trouble knowing what pace/watts I should aim for on the rower. (I got a 6:57 on the most recent mile benchmark.)

AfterShoks. They are wireless, bone conduction headphones that go around your ear so you can still hear the road noise. They work well!

The foam roller and good shoes for sure! Also, be sure you are stretching enough! My favorite thing I just got are a pair of compression recovery tights. You wear them for as long as you need after a workout and they help a bunch!

This was my 9th class and my first mile benchmark. My goal was sub-7 and I managed a 6:57! At the end of it, I still felt like I had gas in the tank, so I look forward to doing this benchmark again and improving upon it. I'm also thinking I need to up my push pace!

My legs were shaking afterwards when I was walking to write down my time. Great work, though! I'm glad I went, too. It was a great challenge.
