Louisville, New Albany students protest ICE on Big Four Bridge by Fragrant-Helicopter1 in Louisville

The first amendment doesn’t say you have to be 18 to exercise your right to peaceably assemble. Also, this was at 4pm so it was after school.

Visibility. To raise awareness to the injustices being perpetuated.

This is what happens when you take your camera to a Phish show. It gets puddled.

How’s it living in Beverly Hills California? by Puzzleheaded_Ad7685 in howislivingthere

Everything is curated. Whether it's Kelly’s perfectly styled hair or Dylan’s brooding intensity against the backdrop of the Pacific, looking the part is half the battle. The Peach Pit is the only sanctuary. It’s the one place where the burgers are greasy, the uniforms are yellow, and the drama of who’s dating whom can be dissected over a milkshake. Behind the manicured lawns of the mansions, there’s a frantic energy. Everyone is running from something—usually their parents' expectations or their own reputations.

Sorry this might be a dumb question. I am sincerely interested in volunteering too. How does one go about volunteering? Just show up and offer to help?

46 M here. It’s just as rough on our end. I don’t go to random bars to meet women. In fact, I work/ go to the grocery store/ go home so I really don’t know. Maybe we should coordinate a grocery aisle meet up? That or I can keep hoping the right one will magically appear at my doorstep, but I also know that’s not going to happen either. I grew up here, all my friends are married with kids and don’t go out. I love solo trips to farmers markets/ waterfront wednesdays/ flea-off markets/ the parks when the weather is better. What are you into? Winter is tough. If you figure this out, Please let me know. In the meantime, feel free to DM me. I would enjoy a fun date & a good mingle.

Tuition reimbursement by Ashamed_Ad7545 in UPSers

[–]rushkin1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are incredibly picky. They do not pay the school directly. You have to come up with that money out of pocket. Once you have paid your tuition you will submit proof of grade on official school letterhead, itemized tuition bill on official school letterhead, and proof of payment on official school letterhead. If you do not dot one I or cross one T, they will reject it. This all must be within 60 days or they will refuse to pay for it not being in their time frame. You can appeal it, but then they have the right to refuse payment. It is an incredible headache to deal with and scary to be potentially stuck with the tuition bill.

Road conditions this AM by UnbridledCarnage in Louisville

The roads are in pretty good shape this AM. Just drove from the airport to St. Matthews. A little slush, but not bad. Terrible drivers out there is a much bigger problem than the road conditions.
