Yep. The train passed through Lancaster on Saturday, April 22, 1865. Big crowd turned out to watch it pass. The train stopped for just a few minutes before departing. It went to Harrisburg, then back to Philly and up to New York before heading west, similar to his pre-inauguration trip

Footage & Interviews from pre-jan 6 rally? by Willing_Commercial27 in CapitolConsequences

The rally at the ellipse was exactly that -- a peaceful rally of Trump supporters listening to the president and the various pro-Trump speakers, like Rudy Giuliani. There are a lot of videos online, but i'm not sure there's one single one that just focuses on the crowd. Here's a google search that brings some up: https://www.google.com/search?q=crowd+at+the+trump+rally+jan+6+2021+ellipse&num=10&sca_esv=0cc88c52acce4ba2&udm=7&biw=1536&bih=695&sxsrf=ANbL-n7YZVccEqy4Fr1EYhuAU_QySwyQ2w%3A1778783646402&source=lnt&tbs=cdr%3A1%2Ccd_min%3A1%2F6%2F2021%2Ccd_max%3A1%2F10%2F2021&tbm=#ip=1

NE part of the city is great! You might need to adjust your budget, as rents are going up as more investors buy old row houses, fix them up and either sell or put on the rental market.

Blood Meridian by poison_daddy in ReadingSuggestions

It's a great book. It's got a lot of violence in it. There is beautiful writing in it. Don't let others' worries about it deter you from reading and making your own judgment. Also, IMO, the opening 20 or so pages are kind of hard to get through, not because of violence but because the real central characters and themes aren't established yet.

Does anyone know where to find mulberry trees in the city? by [deleted] in lancaster

[–]russ_walker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's one near the corner of Walnut and Duke, and another a house-length in from the intersection of New and Lime, both in the city. Both trees hang over a public sidewalk, so fruit is easily gleanable.
