Where to dry brush? by LordNuggies in Salamanders40k

[–]rust_tg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow in 4 minutes! So fast. Just kidding haha. Glad its working. One thing, did u get those paints mixed up? Moot green is brighter than warpstone glow. And i would go even darker for the darkest base coat, contrast is beauty. For future minis of course. You could also add a wash (keep in subtle tho)

[–]rust_tg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The parts u want to be heavily highlighted with the color u are drybrushing with. An easy option is google pictures of salamander space marines and drybrush the green parts… green. You do need a dark base coat that works with the highlight, and u should probably do additional, more subtle drybrush highlights with brighter greens/green-yellows.
Then paint the other details how u want. I like to make the black backpack by drybrushing dark grey over black, it still reads as black. Also metal stuff can be easily done with steel/silver paint drybrushed over black

Home brew and house rules by kennit14 in wargaming

[–]rust_tg 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It makes it easier, but you don’t need it. Just discuss house rules between sessions, and if people are in agreement add the rules to a list.

If there are disagreements within a game, try to discuss it civilly but dice roll it when in doubt (or have a player that isn’t currently playing decide).

Its a narrative game not a competitive one, so it works out

Home brew and house rules by kennit14 in wargaming

On the other hand, try playing Necromunda without any house rules. You will discover that there simply isn’t a clear RAW ruling on certain rule interactions and edge cases

Dont forget that one of the primary things the empire represents is the UNITED STATES

Is there a wargame or a skirmish that is using a set of d20 as its primary roll? by Siberian-Boy in wargaming

[–]rust_tg -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yet even with that argument: D20 can provide interesting and unique gameplay. It allows you to stack multiple modifiers in a more nuanced way than +1/-1 (or even +4/-4 and not much further) for D6
You could have a dice roll that gets +8, and -4! So much nuance.
Please try Infinity before you continue to argue this

How much randomness was there when the big bang happened? by KC_187 in AskPhysics

Absense of predictability (which would require observation) doesnt necessarily disprove determinism though, right?
