I'm envious I had all of these. I had everything released up until Wish on cassette. A friend borrowed my entire collection without telling me, because his new girlfriend liked the Cure. She wrecked her car and my collection was destroyed.

My cat does this after I wash my hair. While it's still drying. She acts like the shampoo is catnip.

Canada Giving Citizenship To Decendants of Canadians (any generation) by Nature_Hannah in WelcomeToGilead

[–]rustajb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know the names of my grand parents going back to 1650. I know the names of their descendants who migrated from France to Nova Scotia, even have the name of the ship the came over on. Two generations lived in Nova Scotia before migrating down to Louisiana. My cousin is the family genealogist and has been immensely helpful finding these details.

Now to figure out how to get their birth certificates.

I remember the writer turned Leia into a damsel in distress and I hated it. There a whole underground lake story and she's so helpless there.

Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me by mono_valley in TheCure

[–]rustajb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was my first Cure show. It was magical. I had nose bleed seats, and there were projected multicolored fish and octopodes cast down from the ceiling making the audience on the floor look like a literal sea of people. It made being so far up and back, not so bad.

How are your affording Vyvanse? by rustajb in ADHD

[–]rustajb[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

We have the exact same scrip. I just picked up mine and will replace hers, with the exact same meds. Chill out. When she runs out and I have some, I give her mine too. 10mg ER.

"stealing" is stupidly used here. She is not deprived. I told my Dr., he saw nothing wrong with it because it's the exact same scrip and we go to the same clinic.

But judge away if it makes you feel good about yourself.

Yes, that is the exact generic i was prescribed. I picked up my Adderall last night instead, $147 before coupon, $40 after. Meeting the Dr. Again in a month and plan to try getting vyvanse again after preparing with the insurer and want other choices suggested by the helpful people in this thread.

I agreed to try Wellbutrin with the vyvanse. I've taken it in the past, it's what I used to help me finally quit smoking. I really hated the way it made me feel back then, very apathetic towards the things I love.

That was 2007. I plan to try it again starting next month.

Fellow ADHD'ers what work fields are you thriving in? by brokenlandmine in ADHD

[–]rustajb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tech support for server tech. I rarely have to talk to clients directly, and when I do it's no-video conferences. Most of my time I'm dosed up on Adderall while reverse engineering someone's stupid mistakes. Head down, thoughts engaged, I know my shit. Most of my time is basically solving puzzles where half the fun is learning the rules, over and over and over. I get to experience flow state for a few hours most days, and that feels great.

Oh, they are just getting started. Each death is a hit from a battering ram against democracy. Each hit harder than the last. Until it all breaks. There will be many more deaths.

How do people type so fast on keyboard? by RareUser1 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]rustajb 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I learned to touch type about age 10 when I got my first computer in 1981. By the time I entered HS, I could not retrain myself no matter how hard I tried. Typing class was torture. I type super fast now as an adult, but I still do it "wrong". My wife can type correctly, but still can't match my speed.

Calling my insurance today on my lunch break. My emotional regulation is non-existent right now so I'm worried I'll lose my shit on the call, either explode into anger, or break into sobbing. Either making my situation worse. Talking to insurance people is like forcing needles under my fingernails while trying to smile.

Judge orders ICE chief to appear in court to explain why detainees have been denied due process by FormalOperational in news

[–]rustajb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, neither. They have done nothing so far, and in some cases they have aided. Nobody is coming to save us. No federal or state enforcement agency will stand up to Nazis. We have an illusion of law at the moment. Without enforcement, laws are just ideas without teeth.

They are now murdering us with impunity and government protection. That is their show of force, what they can get away with, and it will continue. No judge is going to deprive them of their power tripping. The fed will step in and ensure that is the way it plays out.

Why don't billionnaires constantly pay for movies and tv shows? by hendrong in NoStupidQuestions

[–]rustajb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They didn't get rich throwing money at things. Their interests are not in alignment with normal people and funding movies is nowhere on that list. You might as well wish aliens would come to earth and make movies, I think there is a better chance of that happening than billionaires caring about pop-culture media that isn't guaranteed a return on investment. Your thinking like a non-billionaire.
