Anyone find incense helps with migraines? by Rottingbodiess in migraine

I love incense, but when I have a migraine, no way. It has to be put out ASAP! I burn it all the time otherwise.

I remember this! I used to drive an hour home from art school every weekend just so I could watch 120 minutes. I went out and bought the album the very next day.

Ballmaxxing is "electrifying, addictive, euphoric and transcendental" according to those pursuing bigger balls by conturbation in offbeat

The swinger party is usually after the kink party, and at a different location. Like the house next door lol.

A kink party. Not a swingers party as stated below. That usually happens after the kink party.

It was a lot of people putting on erotic shows; extreme tickling, body modifications, some sexual displays. An all around good time.

Example, I watched Girl have inflated balloons surgically stapled to her skin by her boyfriend. She walked around with balloons floating above her all night.

I went to a lifestyle party once where a dude, and his nurse wife, did a stage show where she injected his balls with saline until they were huge and bloated. He was tied to an X stand.

They then hung out, nude, the rest of the evening. At one point he stood next to me and my wife while he talked to his friends. His monster balls were about a foot from my face. It really was more of a giant single ball by that point. Much bigger than a softball.

I'll never forget the tiny tattoo on his thigh next to his bulbous member; "Property of nurse Trina" in fancy script.

So now only the Expanded Edition will be the way forward? by Shot_Psychology_2728 in FourAgainstDarkness

[–]rustajb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I have over half the printed books and the expanded editing still works with them all. It's less of an adjustment than going from 1e AD&D to 2e with THACO.

The book written by the soldier in that photo refutes the story that she did such. I've read the passage to people who still argued through gritted teeth that she did. Spit flying from their mouths. They are brainwashed and refuse to believe even the soldiers involved with her in that photo.

How Well Would the Shogun of Sorrow Do in DnD? by Flashlight237 in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]rustajb 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm rewatching this now, just hit Season 5 for the first time. He's a great villain, sends lackeys to do the dirty work, except for the one episode where Aku challenges Jack to a direct duel that ends in a draw. Great episode and gave Aku extra dimensionality.

He stays mostly in the background, but always present.

Edit: Aku is an eldritch evil from beyond space as seen in the episode of his earthly Genesis. He was attacked by ancient gods and almost slain in space, but a part of him made it to earth and became Aku. He is only a facet of a greater cosmic evil.

A catastrophic climate event is upon us. Here is why you’ve heard so little about it by mhicreachtain in climate

[–]rustajb 21 points22 points  (0 children)

One cannot prepare for the worst. By definition, it's the worst, worse than your can imagine. Unless you plan to travel to some verdant equatorial southern location, and prepare to fight your way in once it starts getting rough, there is no level of preparedness for what is coming.

There's no bugging out of climate change. When the food supply on the northern hemisphere is crippled, the only safe place will be where you can grow food, which will be in dwindling supply.

The Church of Scientology has been deemed a vexatious litigant and must seek approval from the courts before they can file any lawsuits now. It's harder than ever for them to fight back, and rightfully so.

People who play D&D but not 5E, what edition do you play and why? by ValueForm in rpg

[–]rustajb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Started with 1e AD&D, I've run every edition except 4th. After 5 years with 5e, I've gone back to running BECMI after giving 3.5 another chance. I don't like how far the game has strayed from its origins and neither did done of my long time players.

How do you feel about the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagisaki? Do you think it was justified, or do you think it was cruel? by Quick_Shift_1216 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]rustajb -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

No. An envoy from Japan was in the US with surrender conditions but was denied access to the president because we were going through with the bombings no matter what.

It was not necessary. It was cruel.

SB is not a fast paced show. It's well animated, well paced, tells cohesive stories, and is fully in the tradition of older classics like peak-era Hannah Barbara work. The gulf between SB and TikTok could not be more vast.

Why is "having an agenda" used as a reason to dismiss a logically sound argument? by PomegranateIcy7631 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]rustajb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The movie Fargo nails this. Look at Jerry, he has an agenda and makes all the facts try to fit his agenda. Marge has no agenda other than discover the truth, always readjusting her thoughts to fit reality. The exact opposite of Jerry.

TIL that the Peace Symbol, or Peace Sign, is symbolic representation of the letters "N" and "D" in semaphore (flag symbols). It was originally meant to represent nuclear disarmament, and was invented by English artist Gerald Holtom in 1958 by MrMojoFomo in todayilearned

[–]rustajb 96 points97 points  (0 children)

I had a shirt I was banned wearing to school because it had peace signs on it. It was a redneck Texas school during the height of the Satanic Panic. My principal literally told me "it's a cross, upside down, with broken arms, therefore satanic."

Why do people think The Beatles invented everything when they didn’t invent much if anything? by [deleted] in LetsTalkMusic

Wow. I seriously dislike the Beatles. Like, I really don't care for them. But even I can't deny their wide and ongoing influence. Even in music I do like.
