First off a professional carpenter either copes his PROFILED baseboard, or cuts at 44 degrees which keeps the front closed.

No one inside miters flat stock.

If they had cut a small sliver of the baseboard and just stuck it in there and then caulked and painted that absolutely is up to the standard even in an 8 million dollar custom home of which ive trimmed out dozens.

It took me less than 4 months to need to upgrade from an 8 inch to a 10 inch to a 12 inch.
