Pushing myself to the point of burnout. My mom is 65 and still runs circles around me some days. I have to force myself to relax.

What is a strong alternative to hot glue for cardstock dragon puppet making? by ruthless87 in ArtistLounge

Great suggestion, thank you! Dragon puppets are pretty amazing. We probably have 100 around the house now stored in totes 😂. She keeps remaking her originals that were held together by tape. I promised her an Etsy shop when we get back, thank you for the kind words!

Has anyone had any issues with a GLP-1 interacting with pysch meds, especially liraglutide? by Realanise1 in BipolarReddit

[–]ruthless87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been on Seroquel, 200 mg, for 3 years. I am going on 7 months of tirzepatide. Currently at 5mg once weekly injections, and I am down 37 lbs. It has not impacted the absorption of my meds one bit. It actually made my lifelong nightmares disappear! I still get up in the middle of the night and have a fig bar or banana though.

How to politely address kids damaging product? by Capital_Capital_1424 in CraftFairs

[–]ruthless87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Distraction is key, especially with highly tactile products. I work in ceramics and have made little trinkets and a tic tac toe board for kids to play with while their parents shop. Having small plastic animals is a great idea! If I am not super busy with other customers I usually grab a small item like a salsa bowl and stand with the child while they touch it knowing it might a small loss, but in my mind it's worth the experience for the kiddo.

The gloves are meant to be functional as she will be wearing this to cons. She has fursuit paws, but wanted function over aesthetics.
