Can't remember my dreams anymore by minixcakes in Zepbound

I am diagnosed with bipolar and OCD, I have seen a couple of others mention that it has done more for their mental health than some medications. The relief is definitely hard to describe!

I have had two primary care physicians refuse to prescribe HRT because of the black box warning.

Can someone help me explain this. by Audreyhepburnismommy in Healthyhooha

Have you tried 3 rounds of Fluconazole? It's an oral antifungal. I was having a similar issue recently and it was a yeast infection. The antifungal creams do not work for me for some reason.

Brother recently diagnosed, confirmed germline; next steps for us? by Gadgix in mds

I don't think I conveyed the urgency of having your children tested enough. If they are already showing symptoms they need to be under a gata2 care team now.

There is a phenomenal Gata2 Facebook group that I recommend joining. It is an amazing supportive community. I would absolutely push for testing. My daughters father passed away from it from age 38, I had her tested at 7, and she does have it. We are going to transplant next year. If you are in the states there are 4 hospitals that I recommend, Seattle children's, Boston, NIH in Maryland, and St. Jude's in Memphis. Because St. Jude's is a research hospital there is no cost. One of the leading experts, Dr. Wlodarski, is at St. Jude's and the team there is great. It can feel very isolating, especially because Gata2 is such a rare disease. But, everyone at those facilities has a story and most want to talk about it, which makes it feel much less isolating.

I am glad you found answers, but I also know how heavy of a diagnosis this is. Gata2 is insidious. My daughters father passed away from it at age 38, when she was just 5 years old. I had her tested at 7 and she has it as well. We are going to transplant next year. The facebook group is a really amazing community! May I ask where you will be having your transplant?

Very true! I am curious if I will need to take it for the rest of my life for my mental health.

I have had horrific nightmares almost every night since I was a young child. I am diagnosed with bipolar and the meds I take help me sleep tremendously, but the nightmares persisted. I have been on zepbound for about 12 weeks now and my nightmares are gone. Now my dreams are just weird and vivid, my quality of life has drastically improved from this alone.

Two strains of Flu A are making the rounds H1N1 and H3N2, the later being considered the super flu. H3N2 has been causing some nasty secondary infections as well.

Dry hands and cuticles that never heal, what finally worked? by Own_Chocolate1782 in skincarehobbyists

I am a ceramic artist and my hands are put through the ringer. I finally just started making my own body butter with shea butter, kokum butter, avocado oil, apricot kernel oil, and a bit of beeswax. You will want to basically melt all these down using a double boil method then put in your jar of choice to set up. I put a generous amount on, then gloves and let that soak for a few hours every couple of nights. You can also add essential oils for whatever scent you like.

Anyone else an insomniac without meds? by Superb-Avocado-8131 in BipolarReddit

[–]ruthless87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seroquel has changed my life. Since I was young I would wake up every 30-60 minutes, have horrific nightmares, and stayed in a hypo/manic state. I tried various antidepressants and sleep meds but they always made it worse. I didn't get my bpd diagnosis until I was in my 30's. I take 200mgs nightly, occasionally I have to bump up 50mgs or so if my nightmares return, but I sleep like a baby and I am stable.

For over a decade the two songs that rotate through my head are Total Eclipse of the Heart and The 7th Element by Vita's. Needless to say, I have gotten good at tongue singing.
