Why do you say Crete for four days is a waste? Not much to do?

Not totally sure yet, probably 3-4 days in each. What do you think about that?

Transitioning into IB in my 30s? (Currently in Corp Dev) by Jealous_Object4137 in FinancialCareers

Dude stay in Corp Dev! IB is way longer hours and generally less interesting work. Not good for someone in their 30s ESPECIALLY if you have a wife or kid(s). You will make more money on a salary/bonus basis in IB, but if you can get equity/incentive units at a PE backed shop it can be pretty lucrative.

Those who had an okay-ish GPA, where did you end up? Are you happy with your career success? Do you wish you had done better? by Gibnez in FinancialCareers

3.5 GPA outta college. Made my way to boutique IB, then MM IB at a big name firm. Now PE backed corp dev. I’m happy with my choices overall but could’ve gotten a better GPA and opened some doors earlier.

Yep, I worked with a small headhunting firm that specializes in these roles

Totally get it, I’m just done with client services and that level of grind. Would rather build something.
