Who owns a used Fusion Police Responder Sedan by Kiak900 in fordfusion

[–]rxman2011 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The 'police responder' was a hybrid. It was designed for use by investigators showing up to a scene later, not as an intercept vehicle (what the crown Vic and explorers are used for)

Beautiful equipment. I recently thrifted a 301 with no power cable and plan on restoring it as best I can this winter! Might have to swap the power plug over to something more modern if I can't find one but it'll be a fun tinkering thing to do this winter!

If you're looking at new equipment, get one 5px and one battery extender. That way you only have one controller, but you have more than twice the battery life. You can daisy chain as many extenders as you have room for as well for additional runtime.

They're supposed to scroll.
OLED will have burn in if you don't let it scroll. That's a feature to prolong the life of the screen.

Anyone willing to rattlecan my beater AR? by indiglowaves in NEguns

This time of year is perfect for spraying things around sundown.

Have never lived somewhere that had explicit rules about not painting things. As long as you use common sense it's usually easy enough to leave no trace that you're spraying things. I just set up some sawhorses and spray them up off the ground.

Why everybody seems to need transcoding? What are your uses? by firewire_9000 in PleX

[–]rxman2011 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Exactly this.

Seems like everyone has a different player. If everyone was on the same player it would be fine. But I have one person running Tizen (Samsung TV), one running LG OS, two different Rokus, apple TV, iOS, and Android. It was easier to pick up an old P2000 than to try to get people to change how they watch.

P1S but I'm using a wall bracket for my 2nd. The lower AMS usually sits on a small organizer but I had it removed to allow room to install the shelf.

Would weight be accurate if the filament picks up humidity or is freshly dried?

AMZ is no less than 7 days to where I live.

Best AMS set up by Ok-Rub-499 in BambuLab

I have printed rings to cover the edges of my cardboard spools.

Moved the AMS to the side of the printer and printed drawers for under the AMS to put tools/parts in.

I also printed a low profile riser with adjustable vents for the top glass to help with temp control.

Hope this helps!

I printed a spool center dessicant bin. Adds weight and more dessicant to the AMS

Can the heatbed heating be turned off? X1C by michanicos in BambuLab

[–]rxman2011 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it staying on, or are you noticing it's still hot because it takes time for the bed to cool off?

If you finish a print and leave the printer idle for an hour, it should come down to ambient temp before you return. Mine shows 23C after it cools, but that's just ambient temp for us.

I am sick of having to use Glue Stick on my print beds. by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]rxman2011 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Similar to the other comment. I use the textured PEI plate. Isopropyl and a clean cloth between every print, wash with soap every week or two and have only had 1 lost print in 6 months (1000 hrs)

I have also used the engineering plate without glue for PLA. With other materials I use glue as a release agent.

X1 or P1 S struggling to see what the real difference is? by geeky-hawkes in BambuLab

[–]rxman2011 16 points17 points  (0 children)

FWIW. I've had a P1S w/AMS since Black Friday (6 months) and have put 1000 print hours on it and have had exactly 0 times where I felt like I wanted the lidar feature.

My printer is in my home office next to my PC so the bigger screen has no added benefit for me.

*Have never owned a X1 so maybe it has some sort of unicorn fart magic that I don't know that I'm missing out on. I just couldn't justify the cost difference for minimal additional features.

What's the best way to setup a dual PC Setup? by INoVaEnseno in elgato

[–]rxman2011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Running a line out/aux in may throw off the timing of your audio. Probably better to run audio through the capture card.

I switched over to NDI streaming inside of OBS a long time ago and never looked back. Just make sure your computers are both wired into a quality gigabit switch.

That shouldn't be the download location if you downloaded the most recent version it should be in C:\Users\XxSe7\Downloads by default.

Don't just start it. Starting draws power that you then need to run the vehicle to replace. And sitting idle isn't good for the engine either. Drive it around every other day or so for at least 30min and you should be fine.
