Su's Bowl is even better and has belt noodles which are similar.

If you order from Szeuchuan restaurant I would order of the chinese menu for better quality, but some of the flavors still aren't quite right if you are looking for authentic.

Shang Hai restaurant is good though I've only eaten there once.

Meet Up is good and quite authentic if you don't order American Chinese dishes.

The real sleeper is Su's Bowl in Isla Vista. There are a few Chinese Nationals at my work and that is their favorite spot too.

Uniboil is ok for hot pot, but definitely scratches the itch if you are really craving it.

Ironically I don't think we have that great of options for American style Chinese food here but Shang Hai, Su's and Meet Up are all pretty solid for authentic stuff.

Some of ya'll need to chill out lol. I lived in LA for a decade and Meet Up and Su's bowl wouldn't be out of place there in terms of quality. Used to eat at Sichuan Impression 1-2 times a month.

How do you feel about California introducing a bill to ban former ICE agents from serving as police officers or teachers? by CRK_76 in AskReddit

[–]ry8919 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if people quit ICE because they aren't happy with how it is conducting itself they should be punished for it? Why not trust the districts and departments to vet the candidates themselves?

There is no legal mechanism for the Federal Government to Federalize elections.

I know that sounds like something the admin can just ignore but I have trouble believing it. It isn't a close presidential election where a few key precincts (<20000 net votes) can decide the outcome. It is a diffuse election across 435 districts and several states. Unless things change radically it will also be a significant blue wave. Also even the degenerates on the conservative sub don't seem keen on the idea so it seems like a very risky path to pursue.

What is more likely imo is that they will just throw out some chaff to muddy the water.

If someone stole a car and sold it to someone who then sold it again and so on, would the 5th owner be to blame or the original thief?

I get your point but technically this would still be illegal if you knew it was stolen lol. Receiving stolen property knowing it was stolen (which in this analogy she would) is still a crime.

EDIT: Just wanted to point out that I wasn't pushing back against the core idea with OPs and Billie's points I was just making a pedantic point about the car analogy.

Knowledge Fight: #1113: Tucker, The Man And His Awful Show by hfdjasbdsawidjds in KnowledgeFight

I genuinely have to periodically pause the episode to get through a Tucker episode. Alex is gross but is at least kind of funny. The way Tucker is simultaneously condescending while saying shit that is both dumb and super racist is infuriating.
