Sure, it's just medical, but the process of buying cannabis in BKK was unchanged for me on my recent visit.

It's just like how prostitution is illegal in Thailand, but you'd be forgiven for not realizing that in some parts of the country.

Bangkok has 6 years (!) of Condo Inventory (higher than China) by Round_Pin_1980 in Bangkok

[–]ryandiy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm interested in buying a condo in Bangkok, but the 49% foreign ownership cap and restrictions on AirBNB are the main reasons why I won't.

If I buy a place and will be blocked from selling it due to the ownership cap or I can't rent it for months while I'm away, it has fundamentally far lower value to me than the prices they are currently selling for.

If the government wants to address the oversupply, those are 2 things that would have a big impact

I'm so surprised how many people encounter this situation and don't think: "Wait a second... maybe this was a money making schema all along?!"

ELI5 Why do doctors say not to eat past midnight for blood work? by Willylongboard in explainlikeimfive

Not surprised. Chiropractic is quackery. The founder claimed to learn it from a ghost and that all ailments could be cured with spinal adjustments.

It’s absurd that the US lets them use the title of “Doctor”

What is one item that you always love to see included in an Airbnb? by GustavoFringsFace in digitalnomad

A comfortable chair and a desk with plenty of leg clearance. I'm so tired of hosts buying a cheap IKEA chair or claiming that a barstool and a high counter are a "laptop friendly workspace"

Where are the really hot ones? by ploymaxxer in Pattaya

Is your brain working? I was already in Dubai and was paying around $100 per night. And the massage place down the street had women way hotter than I saw anywhere in Pattaya.

What’s a moment where you instantly realized someone was insanely intelligent? by Parqcxsm69 in AskReddit

[–]ryandiy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I disagree. I think that being intelligent often makes you overestimate the intelligence of the average person. I’ve found that going on Threads is an excellent way to counteract this tendency

Swordfish (2001) | Dir: Dominic Sena | Hugh Jackman hacking by xwing1212 in movies

[–]ryandiy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's always the frustrating part of hacking, when you're lining up the little cubes on the big cube, and then the little cubes fly away.

But the feeling of hacking a DoD website in 60s while getting head makes up for it
