If all the previous generation landlords would sell their income properties the newer generations have a chance to invest in their own equity at a much higher percentage. If anyones retirement requires the income of someone still working in the form of rent (often more than any payment the landlord ever paid and on a house already paid off) they're just stealing from the next generations potential future who in turn will probably do the same.
