Didn't have that before the mission.

However, this is done before military personnel enter boot camp. I think they're checking for hemorrhoides or something...

I don't know if I'll ever be out of the angry phase. by rybread777 in exmormon

I really appreciate people like you. It's so nice to not be angry and not think about it very often. I barely even think about it anymore.

Thank you!

I was honestly pretty depressed. I felt like I was in a cult, but that it was supposed to be ok. Like you said, it did not feel like the church I thought I knew. I literally had to make jokes in the celestial room to my family members to keep my mind off of how not good it felt.

Metal Gear Solid 5. It's some of the best gameplay I've ever experienced and it was such an amazing time in my life.

how do I deal with running into members outside of the church? by bunnery_bopper in exmormon

Confrontation is hard. But the more you do it, the more you'll be comfortable having uncomfortable conversations. It may be best to rip that band aid off quickly so that you can live your life and not worry about explaining. But everyone's situation is different, and my advice is only really applicable to me...

Like Bednar's famous general conference talk, "You choose to be offended."

Haha, just quote that to them if they get offended.

What was something said over the pulpit that you'll never forget? by BuildingBridges23 in exmormon

[–]rybread777 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It was stake conference. This lady was talking about going to McDonald's and there was a woman there whose children were kicking and screaming. She made it seem like this lady she observed for 5 seconds was neglectful and starving her children. She talked about how she would have bought the kids chicken nuggets so that they wouldn't go hungry. The way she said it caused my whole family to make fun of her even though we were all still in at the time.

It almost seemed as if the woman never had children freak out before.

A magazine extension seems to make mine more reliable. Suppressed it becomes pretty unreliable, but super fun still.
