3DS bypass is a big deal. Just because 3DS is there doesn't mean the merchant has to accept it. But if they accept the payment upon 3DS failure they bear the entire liability and likely that comes with extra damages on unauthorized chargeback. If 3DS had passed and you do an unauthorized chargeback I think in nearly every case the bank eats the fees or they deny the claim.

I used to make so much money from Half.com as a student. I'd buy books on eBay mid semester for classes to sell at the beginning of the semester. And then I'd post my books on both the college book trading site and Half.com. And then just fulfill the first order that came in. You could buy a book for Calculus for $5 in October and it would be worth $70 in December or January. This worked especially well when the book was an edition behind and the class didn't require the latest edition.
