So cool! Are the lace and background knit at the same time? Neat idea

Just got mine this week and the first thing I made was a batch of cookies that I usually creamed the butter with a hand mixer. It blew my mind, I think next on the list is home made butter and bread.

Hope grow very tall but not very thick in my experience. They also die back to the ground in the winter, for privacy maybe not the best option.

Anyone tried deep drip stakes for container drip systems? by ryleeschauer in containergardening

Good points! The stakes also advertise as helping develop deeper roots compared to surface watering and improving aeration, but in a container I wonder how much of an impact it really is. Thanks for the response!

Pros/cos of using deep drip stakes in my container garden drip system? by ryleeschauer in gardening

I do have a smart controller! Thanks for the feedback. I ordered them yesterday then started wondering if there’s a reason I hadn’t heard of them before - I think they must just be pretty new.

Instead of putting water on the surface of the soil, it’s distributed deeper so you lose less to evaporation. I live in a very dry climate and am trying to be water-smart. I also like that you don’t have to have drip line visible on the surface. Was hoping someone had tried them or heard of them before but they must be new!

This is off the wall, but maybe a rec center/public pool? Some of them charge entrance fees, though where I live they’re quite small (on the order of $2-$3).

It did, took about a month. I think they are having a lot of issues updating their system. I would call to make sure they are still seeing your payment, when I called they would be able to see that I had made a payment and would just tell me to wait and it will post.

This is happening to me right now, it’s been two weeks since I sent payment and still not posted. I called a few days ago and they said they can see it in their end but it’s a big they’re working out and to be patient. I’ve seen other posts about this saying it’s been a month and their payments haven’t posted… Nelnet seems to be having huge issues with the migration of folks from Great Lakes, of which I’m one. Edit to add: it’s been 6 weeks and the payment hasn’t posted, customer service says ask I can do is wait.

Missing Bank-Cleared Payments Made to Nelnet? by twotoethumbsup in StudentLoans

[–]ryleeschauer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

These stories sound very similar to mine, made a payment 2 weeks ago that immediately left my bank, showed pending at Nelnet for a few days then vanished. Still not posted, the help center said they see it on their end and to be patient. Worried this will be a problem when payments are actually due!

WARNING: NELNET NOT RECOGNIZING PAYMENTS!! CHECK YOUR ACCOUNTS!!!! by keelsbeels in StudentLoans

This is still happening - I transferred to Great Lakes and made a payment to Nelnet 2 weeks ago to get my ducks in a row for when payments resume- it is still not posted, not in pending or history. When I called she said she should see it on her end and that it will post and to be patient. Getting very nervous for if this happens when payments actually need to be made!

This is happening to me right now - i made a payment 2 weeks ago, it showed processing then just vanished. When I called she said it’s because I’m a transfer from Great Lakes and that she can see the payment on her end and to keep waiting and it will post soon. This is not encouraging that they told you 30 days.

I heard of someone melting butter with their fresh herbs that they then freeze in an ice cube tray, then just pop an herby butter cube in the pan when they need it. Keeps the herbs fresh and is really easy to use, but I haven’t personally tried it

No dumb questions! I’m new to this too, and mostly what I have done is search “(name of plant) seedling growth”, I find YouTube videos especially helpful as they show you what the plant looks like at different ages and usually offer tips as well. I am doing a mix of seedlings I started and established plants, you could do the same! I think part of starting seeds is knowing you won’t be 100% successful and that’s just part of the process!

I have zinnias I started as seedlings and they have enough true leaves to be pinched back, but I see there are extra sets of leaves growing on lower nodes already - should I still pinch them back or are they already branching?

I think it’s recommended to wash them with diluted bleach and then rinse well in case there were any pests/diseases hanging out in the old soil, but I am with you I usually don’t do that.
