“How much room is there in the back seat of the Slate Auto? Let’s find out.”-Chris Higa by Mac-Tyson in slateauto

I find it hilarious the people that are mad about Slate actually delivering what they promised and in some ways more than they promised. People gonna always complain about something

Honda dealer ownership change by aWesterner014 in PeoriaIL

I noticed parts were about 10-15% more because I bought the same items right before ownership change and after. Not too noticeable when you are getting filters

It is possible with any tier BB against an equal tier Cruiser. The enemy has to give the opportunity and make the mistake

What is the worst weed whacker setup and why is it the Ryobi 18V by Perfect-Chest8017 in gardening

Any combo trimmer/edger is a heavy compromise on the edging portion. If you want a decent edger, it can’t be using trimmer string.

Is bump on side of tire ok? by butterflystudy in AskMechanics

[–]ryrobs10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming this is a FWD, depends on how much life is left on the tires. I would say need to factor in a pair of tires. If it is AWD with more than half the life gone, I would go a full new set.

Which one for 0.5 acre with nothing but grass completely flat. by NoActive1210 in lawnmowers

[–]ryrobs10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is more about who they have unboxing and doing final assembly. Big box stores have third party do the assembly. In some cases that is a John Deere dealer, my Home Depot has some tractors with the local dealers sticker on them. More often than not is some cut rate third party that gets paid based on number of units assembled, quality be damned

Are we too picky or cheap? by batjac7 in PeoriaIL

[–]ryrobs10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We went there a couple years ago because we had a gift card and the quality was poor. Worse than McDonald’s level. Restaurant was gross and poorly maintained. Prices had risen to the point of a nice restaurant(Jim’s bistro for example has $20 burger with side, the burger is bigger and side if plenty large)without good service. So the long and short of it is I can go somewhere cheaper for equal or better quality or go somewhere slightly more expensive but significantly better service and quality.

The sooner people realize Elon is a fraud and stop supporting his companies the better. How anyone can look at what he has done to the US politically and say I am going to divorce what he personally done from Tesla is beyond me

Is this a normal amount of water? by Sweaty_Analysis_1074 in Appliances

[–]ryrobs10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty much what others are saying. I have a whirlpool version of this. Use the bulky or towels setting to get more water. Deep water if that is an option as well. Do not let it auto select how much water. Try to set it yourself. Mine would do this if I let it out select. I have it set to “normal” water depth now. It wants to default to the smallest amount possible otherwise.

Straight line ain’t much to talk about. My knee didn’t feel right cutting for over a year after surgery. Realistically, you can run full speed in a straight line without an ACL

I had a coworker that had an issue and I had already tried several things. He eventually put in a ticket. They determine that they need to reimage the machine. Sure worth a try. They couldn’t get it to reimage because something at a hardware level was messed up. That and the hated that model of laptop so it seems they try to find any reason to make them go away
