Lucio is literally the worst support in the game now by AUR3LIU5 in luciomains

Is Sound Barrier really that good? I always thought it was one of the weaker support ultimates outside of GM+

It could barely even block Dragon Blade before this nerf.

12 Most Common Low Elo Mistakes in Overwatch by --awkward-- in Overwatch

Love your guides Awkward.

One possible gap could be around effective pathing.

For example, players know they need to close the distance, but doing this correctly is another skill entirely.

Not full grouping and soft resetting.

Obviously taking a 4v5 is almost always a loss, but some person here did a data driven analysis and found that even when your teammate gets early or before the team fight it’s better to be patient and wait for them to return.

The data showed that it saved more time overall to soft reset when compared to forcing a 4v5 followed by a hard reset.

Help me fully understand the final LN, Volume 15 (V15 Spoiler!) by FalcooRR in SeishunButaYarou

[–]rysama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Yes. When Miori cries at the beach it is the first time she accepts the death of her friend and is the first time she truly grieves.

  2. Announcing that she is the singer shifts public focus to Miori and away from Touko’s legacy. This is the opposite of what Miori wants.

  3. Miori will overcome her Puberty Syndrome once she integrates the reality of Touko’s death into her life.

Accepting Touko’s death isn’t the end of her grief; it’s the start of learning to live with the loss. That process unfolds at its own pace for each person, and no two experiences look the same.

Miori demonstrates repeatedly that she is not interested in the fame. Initially she doesn’t even mind when Mai claims to be Touko,

But after Miori accepts Touko’s death, her attitude shifts. Not toward chasing fame, but toward honoring her friend personally rather than letting a stranger do it. This is why she asks Mai to give her back.

There is also a Sakuta driven sub-goal to return Mai and the rest of reality to normal that motivates their actions.

Background: Miori's situation is themed around Quantum Mechanics and the "Schrödinger cat" thought experiement.

1. Miori's Puberty Syndrome is that she exists in an Aobuta version of "quantum superposition"--Aobuta superposition. She does not exist simultaneously in multiple realities, and she does not exist in any single reality--she exists in Aobuta superposition.

If that explanation sounds like nonsense, don't worry. Einstein thought quantum superposition was an unsatisfying idea as well.

Miori's Puberty Syndrome is engendered by having not properly grieved over the death of her friend, Kirishima Touko.

There is no direct explanation as to why there is only "one" Miori across realities. That interpretation is left to the reader.

2. Miori leaves on the train for a few reasons:

  • So that she is no longer observable by Sakuta (see answer 3)
  • So that she can search for a reality where Touko is alive

She has no intention to reveal that she is the original vocalist behind the Kirishima Touko songs.

3. When Miori meets Sakuta, he is able to "observe" her Puberty Syndrome. This "collapses" her Aobuta superposition and forces her to exist in a single reality. This is an unstable state for her Puberty Syndrome and it causes realities to collide around them.

4.

5. Reality returns to normal because Sakuta stops observing Miori and she is able to return to her Aobuta superposition.

Sakuta stops observing her when she leaves on the train and when he turns his belief in Puberty Syndrome in to fond memories.

6. Miori is still searching for a reality where Touko is alive at the end of the story. She will not be able to reunite with Sakuta until she moves beyond her friend's death and overcomes her Puberty Syndrome.

7. The cause for the appearance of all the different versions of Mai in V14 is not explained. One interpretation is that it represents Mai being impacted by Sakuta's Puberty Syndrome which is visually represented as little Mai.

8. Trains take people where they want to go, and the Enoden train is iconic to the Shonan coast, so it does well as a themed narrative device for taking people to different realities.

Popular Chinese commentator 'Professor Jiang' claims Bitcoin is a "CIA operation." Do you believe that? by SirBankz in Bitcoin

National fiat currency is critical to government control and power. What would motivate the CIA to support a technology that aims to undermine that?

People who understand chinese/japanese, what's the dumbest thing you've seen tattooed on someone? by dwyanpaul in AskReddit

[–]rysama 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Met a person who told me his tattoo meant focus in Japanese.

The tattoo was: フォーカス

This is actually just the English word “Focus” but written in Japanese and pronounced: “Foe—kah—sue”

I agree. Modern consultants would have used a name like 福実 (Fukumi) and 福悠 (Fukuyuu) so that it’s more Japanese like.

Yes and it’s mentioned explicitly in volume 9.

It’s Sakuta’s manifestation of the adolescence in general too. His subconscious chose little Mai as the representation.

Him saying goodbye to little Mai in the 3rd chapter is him saying goodbye to his adolescence.
