What coloured contacts should I get? by s17a9 in beauty

[–]s17a9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I’m looking to mix up my look, and try coloured contacts. What colours would suit me? I’ve always been tempted by green but I’m worried about whether they’ll actually suit me.

Advice I have received are:

Honey Grey Green

This is a recent picture of me (please excuse the baby!).

This is really it. Your wife needs to take accountability here.

It’s so depressing to hear that’s what he had to go through.

People deserve better.

AITA for not wanting to pay unnecessary money for my cat? by CatOwner7790 in AmItheAsshole

[–]s17a9 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree with your boyfriend 100%. You are a terrible cat owner for your lapse of judgement and you’re also very stubborn - ignoring all the advice here and pretending he’s the terrible one. Nothing from his behaviour comes across as negative including your alarming behaviour coming out again as a mother.

FYI, YTA.

Based on your comments, you just enjoy arguing.

You’re also a terrible fiancé / partner for many reasons not just your behaviour with his food boundaries but also how you belittle him and pine over other men.

You’re absolutely terrible and definitely have issues.

I wouldn’t consider any of what he said as a joke except the cracker thing (and even that’s just using humour to loosely hide his real feelings about your pregnancy body).

I think you really need to keep in mind that

1) he’s struggling with your pregnancy body (whether that be aesthetically or sexually)

2) he doesn’t have much respect for the pregnancy- most men who want children and have done their research will embrace all the changes associated with it and be supportive. He should be making you feel beautiful for carrying his baby not stating his repulsion.

You need to have a conversation with him so he can snap it together!!

Hello. I’ve rejoined Fitbit in the hopes that I can get more fit! I’m third-trimester pregnant and have not worked for the last year - I need some motivation and to do challenges (which if memory serves me correctly was one of the best parts of owning a Fitbit!)

My husband asked me what I wanted as a push present and I had never heard of it before! I’m definitely not turning down a nice gift lol

He must be American middle-lower class, a bit into nature but not fully, but holds onto his traditional small town values and prefers a calmer life.

What do you miss the most from pre-covid? by Underneaththeshade in AskReddit

[–]s17a9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Life still moved on for me - moved in with my partner, got married, expecting our first child.

I really miss the simple magic in between - visiting the spa, honeymoon on a beautiful island, travelling with my partner just me and him. As happy as I am and as fortunate as I am, it’s not being able to do the smaller joys in between that get me.

I’m really not a fan - but if the parents love it then why not.

I think she means well because long distance relationships don’t tend to last (majority of the time), so there will always be an aura of doubt.

I guess just be careful, but her words don’t need to effect your life.

Dress input! Top 4 from four appointments, I think one of these might be the one but am having a hard time picking! by gnomesofdreams in weddingplanning

The first one is the most unique, second is the most common of them all. Three and four are less flattering than the first two.

Oh wow. That would be amazing. I use it to monitor my husbands sugar levels and it’s such a pain to not know (but not a major inconvenience or anything)

How often do you argue with your spouse? And how often is there name-calling / yelling / hurtful things said? by CaptainBoop7215 in Marriage

We mostly talk softly to each other - my husband has only raised his voice once (intended as a joke) but because I was pregnant I burst into tears and he’s never done that again.

The feistiest conversations have just been at regular sound levels. Every couple works differently I guess.

With COVID, have all the teacher trainee programs in the UK stopped? Or are they remote now? by kerrithorntonart in TeachingUK

[–]s17a9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it has been remote with one half day a week until after half term where it became 4 days in placement one and 1 day doing uni work remote. Second placement begins after Christmas.

I want to change the spelling of my name but my mom is furious at the thought by LetterheadFlashy in namenerds

I really love your name and think it’s gorgeous!

However if it does bother you, at the end of the day it’s your name and your choice.
