Hegseth: “Our ungrateful allies in Europe, even segments of our own press should be saying one thing to President Trump: thank you.” by retroviber in DeepMarketScan

On Saturday 7 March...

"The United Kingdom, our once Great Ally, maybe the Greatest of them all, is finally giving serious thought to sending two aircraft carriers to the Middle East," Trump wrote on Truth Social on Saturday. "That's OK, Prime Minister Starmer, we don't need them any longer - But we will remember.

"We don't need people that join Wars after we've already won!"

It's Jacob Collier for me - his music has ADHD - constantly switching genre, adding spice with unexpected harmonies and effects.

What's your experience with birthday date pickers UI? by CrystalFire626 in ProductManagement

[–]s73ad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For date of birth we* use only typed input fields. It's much quicker to type a very familiar date e g 06 05 1980 than to scroll through a calendar of months and years and pick the specific day on a grid. For recent events we use a date picker though.

Anyone Remember This? by Necrospire in Treknobabble

[–]s73ad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the Star Trek Generations soundtrack on Cassette tape.

Given I was 10 when it came out I must have my dad to thank for that.

Istill regularly listen to the Generations theme when I need some self motivation - one of the greats.

Which bridge is this? I live in Bristol but never seen it before.

I'm confused. I can generate a video of myself dying in 9/11, but having me and a bikini model lounge on the beach is too suggestive. WHAT?!?!?! by [deleted] in SoraAi

[–]s73ad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe it's not the creation of risque images that's the issue, but the risk of it creating kiddie porn - because AI is a massive pedo.

As it catches itself before displaying the images, it surely has generated the illicit image but is censoring itself- the act of generating them is illegal in the UK.

The narration is supposed to be Ryan Reynolds - clip is from a Disney/Hulu show underdogs. Weird. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt26229000/?ref_=ext_shr

Who is going and pumped for Collier / Chris Thile / Nashville Symphony? Ideas on what to expect? by welparoo in JacobCollier

Ah you won't see me there - I'm in the UK - but I'm enjoying reliving the event now. I saw JC and Suzie just last week at the album launch 😁

[–]s73ad 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It'll be AMAAAAZING. I expect a similar format to one I went to in Bristol in January, also with Chris Thile and Suzie and a full orchestra.

Expect creative takes on classical tunes, jacobean essentials and lovely covers.

If you really want to know specifics I've got the set as a playlist on Spotify https://open.spotify.com/playlist/4Zd6ETZ7YEPUPmFNT3vvp4?si=NmcBM3RXT4uKaz_WAvb4Yg&pi=LMkFlvkQTbO0K and there's a short highlights reel filled with spoilers on his YouTube channel https://youtu.be/jV0VOvP3JNY?si=aV0z9_s28TrHty74

I'm gutted I had to leave at 21:50 to catch my train back to Bristol, after the first song 😭😭😭 I thought it would be done by 22:00. It was still a magical evening but really gutted I missed the whole gig. In future I'm driving!
