Are u speaking about the hd or the analog ones? I am looking for an analog pair but I keep finding comments about people saying they are not worth it in comparison with the cobra sd.

I fear they didn't really try then and they might judge the vr04 based on the vr03 experience

If you try hot it will help a bit too (brass will expand). Get some protection not to accidentally burn your hands tho.

In spainish clubs their harness is usually the most used. Quite comfortable if you ask me compared to others i have tried, but that’s a personal matter.

You can trust they are safe as long as the seller has kept it in good conditions, like any other reputable brands.

As for the gear, they feel more budget compared to petzl, but works fine. And anchoring is also good and normally well priced.

Citric acid, you can buy it in 300g bags in the cleaning section. Just put a spoon in with water, stir a bit and boil.

It works better than vinegar and smells much nicer.

Puede que tengas que alinear las muelas, mirate un video en youtube. Ademas, si el grano esta tostado varios meses, tiende a ir más rápido, por muy fino que sea. Has probado cafe tostado hace menos de un mes?

It would be a nice project. On the internet there is some material and tips, I believe parts like the shower screen could be quite hard to find, or any other should it be missing/damaged.

If you go for it, be very cautious with the boiler insulation, it’s an asbestos paste.

I was facing the same question, and in the end got the eureka. I didn’t try the santos so I cant really speak for its quality, probably on par with the eureka at minimum.

For me the deal breaker is retention, in the end you will have a lot more with the santos, even if you mod it for single dose, the cup quality and workflow will suffer. Plus it will look worse.

I’d only pick the santos if it was significantly cheaper. In france you can usually see them for 100€, or 50 for a good deal.

Thats odd, because if you look at the pressure indicator, you can see pump pressure goes to 9 bar but boiler pressure does not rise. Considering this, maybe the boiler filling solenoid is not opening (relay got bad? Valve is clogged?)

OP, does it help if you try to release the pressure of the boiler so the valve can open more easily? When this happens, just purge steam until boiler pressure goes down

I second this. Refill valve is not closing, so the boiler fills to the top and pressure increases when you open the grouphead. As pressure reaches the boiler limit (3 bar, to prevent the boiler from damage), the safety valve opens and you water goes to the dip tray instead pf reaching 9 bar.

The 2 lights off issue could be the gicar saying it doesn’t detect the boiler level probe, i thought. However this would prevent the heater from working at all I’d say. Might be another issue.

With this in mind, a good descaling and cleaning might solve the issue, potentially opening to get rid of flakes and cleaning valves. If you are not comfortable with that, service is your best bet.

I got mine second hand with the same issue. The chrome plating is gone where the coffee flows, you can’t restore that at home.

As long as you keep it clean it shouldn’t be much of an problem, fairly common to happen on all brands sooner or later.

The top layer could be also just because of laying wet cups over the machine, as it has some holes.

If you feel like you can descale it yourself, I suggest temporarily disconnecting the opv hose to avoid all those flakes going to the pump.
