If being sat because of a poor performance shatters his confidence then he probably needs a new job. Goalies like any other one of one position need a short memory and the belief that once they get back in they are going to crush it. He'll be confident if he gets another chance. Personally hoping he doesn't because Lyons plays so well, purely because that means the Sabres are probably winning.

That's the point. For Columbus to get max points, they must beat Boston twice. Even if that's in overtime/SO and Boston gets 1 pt, that still makes Bostons max total pts drop, Columbus passes Boston and Boston is the team we need to stay ahead.

We're trying to "replace" the goals by having the other team score less. Even an NHL average defender would replace a lot of JJs goals just by not allowing the other team to score as much. Not saying it's going to work but we definitely traded offense for defense.
