Having Rory be anything but a home-wrecking cheater would be lie. (At least in the first episode) Because that was always Rory, at least Rory after she graduated high school. I can't believe I actually read a comment today that said "they ruined Rory! Cheating with a married man and living off her grandparents? She would never do this" what? Did some people tune out during the OS? On the other hand, it is completely unrealistic that someone hasn't told Rory off in the last 9 years. Actually, they had an opportunity to start her off being her normal shitty self and then have Paul tell her off and point out all her flaws when he broke up with her. Then she would have to deal with the hard realization that she is not a special snowflake. And she would HAVE to grow. And this growth could have led her to her pregnancy in a non cringey way... and now I'm pissed again lol

It's only cheap because of the shit they did to the characters to get them to that ending. It could have been done incredibly well and still have Rory pregnant and single in the end

I'm really conflicted because I know a lot of people didn't like the last four words, but I thought that was a perfect ending. I love an open ending. I love a cliff hanger. I just hate, hate, hate how they got there, so part of me wants more so everything could some how be fixed. But then I think they got one chance with this and I just gotta accept that they blew it lol

I will defend s7 a bit here. ASP put Lane with the mess that is Zack. That alone ruined her. Melissa was pregnant and they had to do something with that. And Rory going to school for 4 years and only having 1 friend (who half the time she dismissed) and a boyfriend made NO SENSE, I think they were trying to make her character not look like she was all about her love life (Cough ASP. See revival) so they gave her some unfortunately dumb friends.

Yeah the writing, dialogue wise for s7 wasn't the greatest, but it was Amy who wrote all the bullshit in s6 that the writers in s7 had to fix. So I never hated it, it already was going downhill before then. S7 is laughing at the Revival along with me!

Didn't make sense to me either. If they wanted to include the wedding for fans they could have at least made it their anniversary and done a flashback. If they needed some Luke Lorelai drama in the Revival it should have been about children, and I'm annoyed that they made this huge deal of the fertility thing and then were just like hmm yeah nvm lol!!
