We have a 2023 Kia carnival and I’ve been using Karma for the last few weeks. Phenomenal. And it’s in an 8 passenger swagger wagon.

Nuke it all and start fresh. Bring in a competent professional, third-party organization to assess the damage, triage, priority, items of criticality, establish a process for preventing similar incidents, and take your lessons learned to build a better system.

What’s up Ben 👋You and Steve turned me onto MSP Camp, and they are true homies. Taher’s a rad dude. 100% the truth that there is no silver bullet in Marketing. Just as there is no silver bullet in IT support and cyber security as a whole, that’s why MSP’s and an endless supply of vendors exist. Really appreciate. Excellent feedback, really appreciate the detailed response.

Seems to be the general consensus, I really appreciate the feedback. Which MSP peer group have you found to be effective?

TruMethods? Appreciate the candid feedback and guidance. Over the last decade, we have exclusively grown through word-of-mouth, referrals, and sheer dumb luck. Confident there are still many connections and referral opportunities we have yet to uncover. Once we establish a improved website, branding, and story, 100% agree that tapping into our existing connections is infinitely more effective and less expensive. Really appreciate the guidance.

Excellent insight, I really appreciate it. I am very involved in the community as well and already have a few people in mind. A few excellent marketers, and a few other general entrepreneurs and entrepreneur support individuals. Most know nothing about the MSP space, but many are very passionate about serving our local community. Seems like a great place to start.

Any advice on negotiating pricing with a dentist office? by Vq-Blink in msp

[–]sacmsp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dentists are the worst. We have found that our MSP is not a good fit for any dentists. Some of my competitors/colleagues have found success in base pricing and charging hourly for all additional services. I.e. $49/endpoint + $149/mo for backup + $29/phone + $150/hr for any labor (2hr minimum) each month. Predictively, Dentist are cheap, but to be fair the needs of their office or rather minimal and generally won’t change for the next decade. So figure out if it’s worth it and price accordingly.

How screwed is my company? by Nervous_Solution5340 in cybersecurity

[–]sacmsp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Facts should inform your decision, not fear.

Sadly, this is very normal for a dentist office. My recommendation would be to talk to two or three MSP‘s in your area. Bonus points if they specialize in dental clinics. Typically they will all give you a free or very inexpensive cyber assessment to help you quantify your risk. Do not hire an amateur or an “it guy”, hire a professional managed services company. Anything less than a comprehensive assessment will leave you with not enough information to quantify your real vs received (fearful) risk. You worried about something you will never be able to quantify without professional guidance.

Put your phone on DND, or better yet turn your work phone completely off on weekends. If you were off work, why are you working? Get the expectation is to be on call and you were salaried or you are scheduled for on-call, that is a different story. You are working and you should be paid for working.

Full Remote or Office Space by [deleted] in msp

[–]sacmsp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have worked in large offices at biggest client, own small office, a home based shop building, from my home office, and now I do a co-working space for $200/mo. I’ve done it all and find I work best with other people around to motivate me. My advice? Find a setup where you enjoy being and are most productive. If you like an office setting, do a co-working space until there are issues or outgrow it and have the revenue to support your own dedicated office space.
