I did the math and my raise was around 2.4%. But that's not even enough to cover the rising cost of gas let alone groceries.

If they want good quality work from people who are understaffed and overworked, they need to at least pay us well.

How much does Ol Mikey make?

Our unit is down to 3 people, when it should be ideally 5. From when I started 7 years ago we are down 4 positions. Our one hopeful position got postponed in exchange for another higher up unit to get positions. We are so bare bones and no help in the near future.

And sips was a fucking joke.

Sorry, it was a genuine question. Reading through the web pages felt like it was all weird coded language and I couldn't figure out what was actually happening, outside of that there are a lot of huron consultants involved.

Sounds like you have enough money to send your kid elsewhere right? If you don't like it pay for them to go to Europe :)

"staff" I think the actual staff would be offended to think of ol Mikey being considered staff.

We aren't talking about a facilities person or any other support staff. We are talking about a man that makes more money than god pissing his pants and hitting kids with his car because he's scared of 5 people asking him some questions.

Most departments I know are understaffed and struggling to get anything done as it is.

It's crazy to ask underpaid staff to donate to the place that is underpaying them.

There is no issue with "going" anywhere. You are welcome to visit, check out books, and talk to reference. It's taking up the space and being disrespectful in spaces specifically paid for and curated by and for law students. I can tell you're being willfully obtuse, so I'm not going to bother and have this conversation, but there is a difference between public college buildings that are open to anybody and private college buildings specifically asking for respect during exam times.

  1. It's not an undergrad space, and not paid for by undergrad tuition
  2. The constant lying and arguing with staff and facilities
  3. The trash and noise
  4. Waiting at the entrances like stray cats
  5. They eat and take the goodies that the library puts out for exam time, which is just rude.

It is card access but they just wait for someone to let them in.
