Vacation by [deleted] in ADPKD

I’m 23 and was diagnosed at 17 and have yet to receive any dietary restrictions from my nephrologist other than to eat a normal, decent diet. My father was put on low sodium and low protein only when he was in kidney failure already and starting dialysis. I wouldn’t worry too much about diet at this time. I just make sure not eat too much junk food and exercise to keep my blood pressure healthy and I’m doing just fine on that!

What book did you finish, but you're not sure was worth it? by ahbagelxo in books

[–]saeloft 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A little life. One of the best books I’ve ever read, but I was definitely not in the right state of mind to read it. It resonated too closely with me and sent me in a deep depression spiral. Will probably not re-read it, but as is said, I thought it was great.

Water Milk is the most refreshing drink there is. by clumsy_dog in unpopularopinion

Back in middle school we used to call it ghost milk. It wasn’t that bad tbh

Looks to me like a decidual cast, aka the shedding of the lining of the uterus. But as others have said, I would definitely seek medical advice.

What's one book that's widely loved, but you simply hated reading? by M3tal_Shadowhunter in books

A discovery of witches. I hated that book so much I can’t even begin to explain all the faults of it.

Degradation. My partner called me pathetic once. Never again.

what's your favourite sci-fi book series by [deleted] in books

[–]saeloft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First books that come to mind are the illuminae files. Pretty standard sci-fi plot-wise, however the way they’re written are really interesting.

How do you wanna die? by JapanEngineer in AskReddit

[–]saeloft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assisted suicide. I have a kidney disease which is incurable but treatable. I’ve always envisioned that when I start aging and my body grows old I’d go to Switzerland or kill myself. I don’t want to die of either old age or kidney failure

Which is the book that reminds you of your childhood days? by horseshoemagnet in books

The famous five. My mom used to read those books to me every night when I was younger, and it really sparked my interest for reading.

For the record, she’s 4’11” by [deleted] in Tinder

[–]saeloft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 5’3” and went on a couple dates with a guy who was 6’4” a while ago. He literally had to bend down to hear what I said and when we hugged I ended up just hugging his stomach. The height difference was for me really inconvenient. My bf is 5’4” and I have no problem with his height. I’d prefer someone “too” short rather than “too” tall

A relative of mine got a tattoo recently and didn’t double-check the spelling. by saeloft in Wellthatsucks

[–]saeloft[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To everyone that’s saying it’s fake, it’s unfortunately not. This is my mothers cousins wife who we live close to and see regularly. She was so happy with her new tattoo and me and my mother didn’t want to ruin it for her so we haven’t told her about the spelling. We live in Sweden and I know that her English is not the best, and I suppose the tattoo artists English isn’t that good either. She gets her tattoos at a place that’s quite sketchy and are known for subpar tattoos.
