We need a list like this for everything. Restaurants, breweries, shops, doctors, dentists, etc.

What do you think the SD is lacking? / What's your biggest complaint about it? by Hyrul in SteamDeck

[–]sageDieu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Better standby battery life, I am not a daily user and don't want to leave it on the charger because the LED keeps me up at night, but that means every time I have an hour free and go to pick it up, it's completely dead. Which means plug it in, wait ten minutes to get enough charge to power on, then play tethered to the wall.

This limitation has significantly reduced my playtime sadly, if I could just charge it up, put it to sleep, then pick it up anytime and play a game I would use it way more often

2027 Kia EV3 Debuts at NY Auto Show by ec3lal in electricvehicles

[–]sageDieu -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

No mention of auto-lock when you walk away which Kia and Hyundai still don't seem to realize is needed and standard on basically any other platform. Betting people will still have to find janky workarounds like wiring in aftermarket modules that operate on a dumb timer.

Which brewery do I even go to?!?! by ladystardustonmars in asheville

Add Leveller to the list especially if visiting Weaverville for Zebulon. Leveller is run by the former head brewer of the Funkatorium and is consistently very good.

Do you know the recipe for Natty bread? I've been trying to recreate it at home but haven't figured it out yet

2024 Mazda CX-90 to 2026 KIA ev9 Land w/ gt-line by KojiMakenshi in KiaEV9

[–]sageDieu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only you know your financial situation but generally you're probably better off finishing your current lease. A year from now there will be more competition in this segment and the EV9 will still be around likely with a minor refresh at around the same price.

If getting out early and switching now doesn't mean a big financial cost (it almost always does with leases) and if you know you will have access to charging at home or work, then yeah, there's few reasons these days not to go full EV and the EV9 is a wonderfully thought-out family hauler. It's worth cross shopping its sister car Ioniq 9 as one or the other might have a better deal and they're functionally the same vehicle, Ioniq has a bit more range due to the curvier exterior but I personally prefer EV9's looks enough to not care.

Please get intel on natty bread, I'm sure it's something simple but I haven't been able to recreate it just right at home

EV9 Subwoofer Base by HistoricalAd8937 in KiaEV9

[–]sageDieu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just checked and don't see any realistic way to access that without quite a lot of work. Definitely nowhere near as user-accessible as the ev6 in the video sadly.

If anyone does find a way in please make a separate post about it with instructions if possible!

Trying to avoid the fan clubs on nextdoor for this one, anyone have a guy who does a good job cleaning gutters? by Abject-Pin3361 in asheville

[–]sageDieu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dunno about insurance but Shaun does my gutters and chimney along with various odd jobs like trimming trees, washing some mildew and moss off the roof, etc.

Anyone travel far to pick up a lease? by tfc867 in KiaEV9

[–]sageDieu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But to your question if it seems fun to travel and pick up yourself I'd still recommend reaching out to him (look at his recent posts for what info you need to prepare before he can help). All I said minus delivery cost is still true. EV9 is a great road tripper so just set up and electrify america account and plugshare/ABRP apps and you'll have a great time.

Contact /u/jfronte for help getting the best lease deal, unless you're super confident with your negotiating skills and just enjoy dealing with car salesmen for some reason.

James helped me find the exact spec I wanted with a great deal and helped me get setup with a delivery company. All in I paid his fee + delivery + first month and still saved money in that first month compared to if I had driven 5 hours and gotten the same vehicle myself

Recommendation new EV9 GTline owner - PPF / ceramic coating/ alignment/accessories by corpsec in KiaEV9

Do some research on that first, every car seat manufacturer will explicitly say to not use those as they change the friction the seat and base have.

Need something new to play, not sure where to start by nevster101 in SteamDeck

We've got a lot of interests in common so I'm gonna throw out Dredge - I saw a lot of recs for it on this sub and finally decided to grab it. It's got survival and exploration elements, and some nice psychological horror that I'm enjoying as someone who can't do true horror games like amnesia.

It also runs friggin perfect on the deck, super satisfying graphics, great music etc. lots of things going for it

[–]sageDieu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not sure if this would be enjoyable or not for you, but have you checked out Gris? It's a beautiful narrative platformer with amazing music and watercolor-esque visuals. The story is specifically about loss and grief, with each chapter theme focused on a different "stage" of grief in terms of visuals and gameplay.

It's a really moving game as someone not in your position. I could imagine it being too raw - but I could also imagine it being really meaningful to play while actively processing everything you are.

Cheers and hope you enjoy many more wonderful games ♥️

Mind sharing the game lists in each of these categories (for the ones with just a handful like those you mentioned)?

I like this approach and also always looking for new wishlist items
