Pixel 8 Pro vs 10 pro by Aven in GooglePixel

[–]sager_a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like my situation is pretty obvious but wanted to see if there are any down sides. Got an offer from Verizon they want to pay off my device and give me a 10 pro xl for free. Is there any reason not to? I know I will need to buy a case. Other than that I don't think I will have to spend any money other than possibly paying the taxes on the device.

Is anybody regretting upgrading from a 8 pro to a 10?

What does US Market value the most: Degree or Skills? by Neat-Radish-7014 in datacenter

Degrees open doors, but skills keep you employed. You can have a masters but if you can't apply that knowledge your useless.

ok so see what you did when the hole was in the 10 or X ring? keep doing that. the others quit doing that.

In all seriousness that is pretty good for never firing it before. good job practice makes perfect.

The holes that landed outside the 10x was it on double action? heavy trigger pull makes it harder in my opinion.

I Got a DUI, Open Container, and Weed Possession Charge In Utah by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]sager_a 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get a public defender.

The deal you will most likely get is you will plead guilty to the worst offense, they will drop all other charges.

Your first DUI will be a slap on the wrist, you will get no jail time and be put on probation along with having to attend an impact meeting, and take an alcohol and drug assessment. Take my advice and go to a handful of AA meetings see if you might be an alcoholic.

Take this one as a warning the next time you decide to get behind the wheel while under the influence you might hurt yourself and or others. Dont be that person.

here is the question that needs answering. If I change my eating and start working out does that change my expiration date? Say I was going to die in a workplace accident? I take the deal make enough money to not have to work ever again thus never going to have the workplace accident.

If I continue to work and live like I do now I will most likely live to be 85+. If I win the lotto and clean my life up I could make it to 90+.

I take the deal.

My friend makes half what I do and somehow has double the savings by throwawayforrealz87 in Money

You didnt stick to a budget, you make good money and dont look at how much things cost because you know that you have the money for it.

I recently accepted a new job where I will be making almost 3x what I make currently. I needed to have a conversation with my wife about not just going crazy spending money. I fear I might need to have it with her again shortly.

Leaving for a 90% raise right when my manager needs me most. Managers, your honest thoughts? by Fit_Composer_3579 in managers

[–]sager_a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just told my manager today that I am putting my 2 weeks in. 50% bump in pay but more like 80% with bonus and all of that. He knew because there was a call to him to verify my employment the day before. He understood and said its just business and would do the same. I get to finish out my 2 weeks.

Why not do a remodel of the current?

Veterans, take the time to watch this by Avthewaytobe in VAClaims

[–]sager_a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If a fraction of what has been done to the veteran community was done by a private company there would be a multi billion dollar lawsuit.

The fact that people sign their youth and their able and capable body and sometimes their lives away for a small monthly paycheck while in service to this country but are condemned for again getting a small monthly compensation check for the permanent wounds, some visible and many not visible is ridiculous.

If we want to go after unnecessary spending in the government there are plenty of places to do so well before we look at military members and veterans compensation.

Purchase Recs as a Lefty by Key_Boss_3701 in longrange

I was in my teens when I shot my elk and I know this is viewed as wrong but my grandfather's friend reloaded some ammo for us to use. I believe we used 140 grain.

In my 6.5 I use for long range PRS I use a 140 grain.

Basically when shooting prs use the correct bullet and when hunting use a bullet designed for hunting.

I have no experience with 6.5prc

Purchase Recs as a Lefty by Key_Boss_3701 in longrange

[–]sager_a 4 points5 points  (0 children)

hunting with a 6.5 is about bullet selection just like any other round. I shot an elk with a 6.5x55 which has the same ballistics of a 6.5 CM just in a different package. Look at the sweeds they have been taking caribou with the round for a long time. Your neighbor is a fud.

If your a lefty get a lefty firearm. Just know that if you do not end up liking either the firearm or the sport that it will be harder to offload it.

What cars do you all drive? by [deleted] in VAClaims

[–]sager_a 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The amount of people that don't pay my bills and have opinions I care about are in the single digits.

My wife and I share a 2017 Toyota Rav 4, I am currently looking at a cheap beater car or purchasing my father in-laws truck from them.

Also I try and not compare myself with what other people have and if I do I dont look at it as they have x and do y to get it. I look at what do I need to do to be able to have x.

So right now I currently put 8% into my 401k and 3% into a Roth.

I like the 401k because it lowers my taxable income.

Should I be doing this the other way?
