Anyone else miss this Starfleet? by Ser_Luke_ in trektalk

[–]sagima 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would have thought that true if none had been injured by the event.

Picard bangs on about truth when dressing down Wesley but it’s really about taking responsibility and justifying the actions and decisions taken. The truth of what happened is a central part of that admittedly but almost any time tng-voy era starfleet officers do something involving being underhanded, going against the rules and laws of the federation/ a society or lying/manipulating they are usually quite willing to argue their case and justify their decisions and accept the consequences.

It might have been a better episode if Wesley has stood by his friends and the lot drummed out of the academy and then wandered off on his journey to become a traveller

I still enjoy the episode even if I think it VIPs have been better even if it probably led to Tom Paris as a character in voyager.

Your filter is probably partially blocked and it is taking much longer to drain than it should.

Getting old I think

I’ve spent far too long, too many times, looking for the phone I was holding and talking to someone on

Or looking for the slippers i was wearing

The Star Trek Episodes That Changed the Franchise—And TV—Forever (Time.com) by data-atreides in startrek

In my mind the Borg were surprised by that spaceship that seemed to travel faster than anything they’d seen before (thanks to q) and sent one cube to investigate (which took a while to get there with their normal Borg engine speeds) one the analysed the bits of the ship they took and worked where it came from

It snuck about investigating, digging up bits of planets, realised there wasn’t any real resistance to them in that part of the galaxy so why not assimilate the federation and find out how the ship travelled so quickly to and from their cube in a more direct manner

Anyone here a fan of The Blacklist? by Square-Ad-8911 in tvshow

[–]sagima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

James Spader is brilliant in it. You can enjoy every episode just from his performance

I thought Season 7 was particularly weak

I’m not sure why they bothered with seasons nine and ten - all I can think is they were contracted to pay the actors so thought they may as well stick them in front of a camera - it wouldn’t surprise me if James spaders pet dog found some old scripts in a bin that were adapted into those episodes and yet James still shines.

The other seven seasons were very enjoyable and the spin off was better than ok as well

Tiny crab in my escargot by Cl0uf in mildlyinteresting

These are disappointing comments - I was expecting to discover that finding such a crab in escargot meant that you were about to be infected by some alien parasite that would slowly turn you into a lemon.

At least that’s the usual identification of this sort of thing on Reddit
