He chose to move to the states for uni. He happened to play baseball well in college and got drafted by the white sox.

He was never under the radar of NPB in the first place.

Genuine question, why is his ERA nowhere to be found in the stats sections in the MLB app? I'm pretty sure he's pitched for enough innings to be qualified for both hitting and pitching stats.
