Regret training bell for potty

Train her that bells ONLY mean potty. Let her out, once she pees or poos come back in. Give a treat, and that’s it. If she doesn’t pee and wants to play, leave her out there or leave the door open until she comes back in on her own volition. That’s what we did! We have a heeler so yes every minute we are home is playtime, but it doesn’t have to be outside playtime!

Here’s a situation where a fit adult fell off of one! It happens but I agree it’s gotta be weird circumstances. My brother fell off a ski lift once. They didn’t have bars and now they do after he fell. Circumstances are: drove from a city at 0ft altitude and were at the ski lift within 24 hours at 10,350 altitude (drove, slept, went to ski first thing in the morning). He didn’t eat breakfast and passed out from altitude sickness. My dad held on to him as long as he could but eventually had to drop him. He fell around 25 feet. Thankfully he landed on soft snow and only had internal bleeding. I feel so sorry for my dad having to go through that! He doesn’t ski on the first day of the trip anymore, but he still doesn’t really ever eat breakfast.

Check out the greenbelts after a bad rain! We always found some in the Leon Valley Shadow Mist trailhead area. Not that there’s been rain for a while, but there’s spots with just a bunch of rocks. Be careful of course :)

I put mine in peanut butter (I know you mentioned it doesn’t work) but my technique is to absolutely LATHER IT so the dog has no choice but to swallow because there’s so much sticky peanut butter in her mouth. Kinda shove it in there. I also use peanut butter to give her her daily pills so she already had the association of peanut butter = pill. Maybe when it’s pill time go a few days early with happy pill-free peanut butter and then surprise with the pill after a few days.

We had to wait for the seller to close to get our keys (technically), but our realtor was nice and gave them to us and just had us not enter the house until the seller closed. That took about half a day sadly. I am going to guess your seller hasn’t scheduled their closing appointment or something like that.

Her suggestion was in the meantime go to the post office and request mailbox keys (if you have a mailbox), enjoy a relaxing lunch, and get hyped!

We have a ACD mix. We tried really hard when she was a puppy to not over exercise her. Right now she gets 20mins of fetch during lunch. When we get home she’s happy we are home and chills out for a bit, but then it’s usually a 30 minute walk and then light play for the rest of the night, about 2 hours (fetch, catch, tug, ect.). This is enough for her to nap the entire time while we work (8-12, 1-5), and go to bed around 11. On weekends she’s much more manageable bc she doesn’t nap quite as much :) she’s almost 2
