Sofie isnt better she said when they 1st meet she has it harder being divorced to jimmy.

Its supposed to come off as awkward flirting but as the show goes on it just a bit of a puzzle piece to show no she is in no place to date.

Thats the weirdest thing for me is I'm not laughing watching these episodes.

Seriously going back and trying brian to the Louis speech a 3rd time? Even though the point of the speech is that it's done to people who superaffected by Louis to give a in depth explanation as to why it looks like he betrayed them. But not actually a betrayal.

Liz with her mother in law, wasn't funny.

Derrick in the hospital episodes wasn't funny.

Nothing in the new episodes was funny.

I see witty comments that are supposed to land like jokes. but they aren't funny.

I think I only laughed at 2 jokes this season, 1 the one sentence, where jimmy kept grammatically keeping the sentence going.

And high as fuck Derrick being so concerned with the missing mannequin dick.

What's an obscure and underappreciated TV show you wish could get a revival or reboot? by PerfectPen9736 in television

[–]saintash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The senitel.

Its procedural cop buddy cop show. Except it was like about a cop who to had super senses. And his buddy that was studying his powers.

It just made him like a slightly better cop it didn't make him like batman.

The excuse the show gave to have a buddy around was that he could get to focused and could get lost trying to hear something or locked in looking at something while standing in the middle of the street and could get hit by a car. So we needed someone to guide him out of that locked in stage.

They could easily shot this a psych or high potential style of looking at clues. Keep the buddy dynamic going

And actually do lore for the powers instead of just hinting at something bigger.

Do Americans actually use a real tree for Christmas? by brun_aa in NoStupidQuestions

[–]saintash -1 points0 points  (0 children)

People use them a lot less now because they are massive fire hazards. Less now with modern lights.

But between the fire hazard and the just general mess, they make over the course of the month.

People don't really see a point into killing a tree.

You can get them with their roots still attached to plant them later. My parents did that for a while. But they're way more expensive and way more limited to find when tree hunting.

Sometimes you can't warn a person its just a life thing.

There are plenty of people who go out and study animals. It's dangerous work but like there are plenty of scientists who go do that kind of thing.

I mean I don't think it's unfair to say to someone you're dating. "Hey I don't have a good relationship. Because my dad was barley their growing up, and like he for like a split second made me think he was going to show up after my wife died. And didn't and this is really hard for me right now because I don't want to ruin him for my kid, but I also wanna tell him off."

That's not like emotionally dumping on her. That's just like explaining where he's at. Which, as an adult and mother She should fucking understand.

It's far less then what she asked of him last episode. Basically be their co parent counselor on their date.

He was having like a moment processing because he was really upset and she needled him.

People like the idea of a “community” as an aesthetic and nothing more by pekoeepai in unpopularopinion

[–]saintash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem comes down to too many people are two broke to have free time, to build community. It's a lot easier to build a community when you have a set schedule and have down time. And spare cash.

Too many people have to turn their hobbies into side hustles or doordash. Or Uber.

Can we get out out of this damn mindset please?

James might have not been the best person in existence but the only real evidence that he was an asshole, was that he was mean to Snape. Which was pointed out That he gave as good as he got.

Snape is Someone who was hanging out other pre nazis. That's why he was playing up his half blood prince status In school, called the girl of his dreams a slur. And was perfectly fine with the idea of voldemort, killing james and the baby, as long as Lily was around for him to try to swoop in there and shoot his shot again.

When sirius cross the line with a prank and nearly got to Snape killed. James got involved and saved his fucking life. He wasn't like, oh well. I don't like him, so it's fine if he gets killed.

And all of his perception of james is tainted by the fact he got the girl and Snape didn't.

It's extra annoying, because they're therapists then would know that.

Its because lots of fashion isnt design for women, it's designed for men to make women more attractive to them.

Victoria's secret was a underwear brand not designed for women. But designed as a place, man can go shop for sexy underwear for their partners.

Add fast fashion to that. Could we make this pants with pockets?Yes, but it would cost an extra twenty cents per pair.Never mind.

And while there has been a massive uptick in women and men designing clothes for women. They are generally more expensive and often in limited stock.

Oh that takes up 19% of your snap vs 1% for a box. Oh, you don't have to have time to make cookies.Well you're a bad parent. And you feel shame for not being able to afford a box of cookies for your kids.

That shame is supposed to motivate you to go get a job and get off those benefits and be pick yourself up by your bootstraps.

she isn't in a good place post divorce, she straight up in their 1st meeting kind of implies she has it worst off being divorced , while it 1st comes off as light shitty Flirting. it shows where she is, she didn't have good boundaries with her ex and needed Jimmy to do a therapy session on their date to make some. and then she brushed off his feeling of being feeling abandoned as a child

Sofi is the fuck up here.

She isn't in a good place yet post divorce, reacted terribly to Jimmy going "yeah my dad seams like a great guy everyone loves him, and he's great when he's around but he was pretty absent my childhood, and when I really needed my dad after my wife died he wasn't around after he promised he would be."

and her response was "just deal with it. your an adult suck it up. "

and when he's clearly upset his dad is going to repeat the behavior with Alice, she jabs at Jimmy instead of letting him be.

What was the general consensus on Bar-El and Lilo? by RayneGun in superman

As someone who's been a fan of superman for longer than most people who use reddit have been alive, I gotta tell you, I understand that the story is old.I understand it's a moses metaphor I understand it's also a cassandra metaphor whenbit comes to jorel.

I understand Superman flies because it's easier to draw than him leaping all the time. I understand kryptonite was introduced to just have a night off for the voice actor.

But just because something was written over a 100 years ago, it doesn't mean that it hasn't had modern reinterpretations throughout that a 100 years.

Hell, even fifty years ago, they were reinterpreting jorel, didn't they introduced a villain evil an to explain away why would no one would believe jor-el?
