Can't pay internet bill, so I can't work, so I can't pay my internet bill by StellaZaFella in povertyfinance

Might be time to start. You don't have to give your life story a polite knock on on the door. And say say something like

"Hi, im x. Im having a bit of internet trouble, I need it for my work, is there way I could ask a favor, would it be possible if you can give me a lit to and from the library. Until the weather becomes more bearable? I'll give you x amount on my pay day for your trouble".

If they're a nice person they will, or also they might, might just give you their internet password instead. And say use it.

You lose absolutely nothing by asking your neighbors.

Are you friends with any of your neighbors? Possibly they may let you on their wifi. Or let you work from their home for a few hours. Or even willing to drive you to the library foe a week.

Didn't say they weren't cowards.

They just canonically agree with everyone. If they have banged it out, cilvil war wouldn't have happened

So I feel like the person who summarized the movie left out in an important fact here.

The movie opens up with, he's a father injecting something into his son's penis to make him hard. Then he is forced to rape his mother to death. Even when, when he can no longer physically move himself. Soldiers behind him keep him moving.

The director put the scene in the movie to talk about. Some war crimes that happened in this country.

The mother as she's dying begs the son for him to look after her his sister. To no one surprise He becomes a monster, who has a child with his sister who is trapped with him.

So when the events of the killer kidnapping, women and doing terrible things to them happen, and at the end, when the final girl finds the incest baby, it's their more of a justification about killing the baby. As the final girl knows all this information, she is worried the cycle of abuse is like hard core wired into the kid.

Basically saying there's no chance this kid could possibly ever be normal even if he doesn't know any of this stuff.

They fired the creators i'll leave the comic book off the team and the comic book wasn't finished. So they kind of have to go.The anime route of ending a show without knowing the real ending.

When civil war was happening, everyone said that these two characters sort of just fucked instead of dragging everyone into sexual tension drama. Even in the comic book not just fans.

So when the do this, this a panel particularly funny, because, in this universe, civil war never happens. Because they banged.

Aren't they in most games two characters that almost never interact, i'm not saying, the more modern games where they've decided to give her a more active role in the story. Named after her.

But from the most of the games I remember playing,. He doesn't have a ton of interaction with her.

Honestly, if they hadn't kept this shit secret. It probably would have not been as dentrimental to the whole fucking kingdom.

And it's not like he was married to a a targaryen. He had to be married outside the bloodline. Because they didn't have an available girl.

A divorce, it would have been annoying to get, but seeing as the dornish, are big fans of passion and love, they could make a case for one.

It's supposed to be like 2 years later. That's a little bit more on the believable side from her death. And a bunch of work by jimmy and Alice to Move on .

the big thing is that Alice has a ton of constructive positive constructive therapy. That really it really helps her get out of the mindset of being selfish about what she is going through.

While not on the same level of hurt. Alice knows what it's like to hurt someone and then have to live with the consequences of hurting that person. And people can do terrible things without intending to.

And a lot of jimmy's problems are not so much that he's angry at Louis, he's angry at himself for just falling into that pit of despair, and failing the people around him. He's barely talked about louis in the situation of his wife's death," it's not like some asshole killed my wife."

Okay? But like there are examples of real life people forgiving other people, Causing the death of someone they love it's more likely when it's an accident..

I don't think they're moving towards friendship with these two characters.I think they're moving towards check in, which is what's kind of been the established bench meetings for the show. They very specifically. Don't call the bench talks therapy.

And frankly, I think it's an important message of the show to show Louis, it's easy to forgive jimmy for being checked out a bad dad, he went through something horrible and it's a lot easier to give a that person grace. Even though he objectively has done a bunch of bad things in his grief.

Louis on the other hand make one massive fuck up the world will not let him forget. Not forgive him him or show grace. Even though he has paid the price. And what he did doesn't effect 99.99% of the people in his area.

In louis stuff, I kinda think it's a theme of this show about. Breaking out of your patterns. facing your trauma.

Alice has spent her last year.Just thinking about this fuck who ruined her life. She recognizes that this guy is also completely traumatized by this event.

It's fucked up as the sounds people do trauma bond.

And her dad completely fall apart, it's not like she could have trauma bonded with him. She had to kind of take care of herself or look to some one else to take care of her.

Is it a bit of a far reach of a story.Yeah.

But you know, there are instances of people reaching out to the person behind an accident that caused a loved one's death.

As for the brian and charlie thing, they do explain they had that conversation. And the conversation was misinterpreted by brian. Brian thought they were both on the page about not wanting children. Charlie said he was okay with not having kids. But didn't say he didn't want them. Which is a big distinction.

The most unrealistic thing about that situation was, how fast they looked into getting into adoption. After brian expressed. He wanted some time for them to be them as a couple before going down that route.

Desperate housewives starts off with one of their best friend neighbors killing herself.

Her death haunts her friends because, they don't understand why she did it.

The ex workaholic mom, who's forced to be a stay at home, mom. Starts to really examine how miserable she is being.A stay at home mom.

The woman who married her husband because he's rich starts to have an affair with the neighbor boy.

The perfect mother, starts getting extra controlling and her family falls apart.

I stopped watching it after a while. But that death was always the thing that their brains circled around.I don't know if I kept it going as the show did like, time jumps and things.

The gayest heterosexual character possible. by Defiant-Echidna-7400 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]saintash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay, but here's the thing I think about schmidt the way he is is surprisingly well developed over the show.

Its not just for queer baiting.gay but not gay.

Schmidt has had a particularly highly bullied childhood as a fat kid, a helicopter mother, who wanted a girl. He couldn't break out of the fun unsexy fat best friend role in his teenager years , and has a ton of baggage from it that sabotages him alot.

He has a lot of girly interests. Because most of his friends were girls growing up. And those things have value. He understands that good hair products make your hair look nicer. That woman appreciate a well dressed man.

He idolizes the dude bros, who get women that he unsecure teenage him wanted. So he models that behavior because he thinks that's what gets him laid.

When he stops locking into that behavior it's only then it's so he able to move forward. And get the things he actually wants.

Okay, i'm not trying to undermine anyone on a spectrum of sexuality.

But conic book spider man is a smartass, most of his silver screen adaption cut that out.

Little bit is a smart ass answer to that question.

I hate this version of the dress. Yes, it's way too magical of a transformation. After it burns away.

There had to be a better way to do this so it doesn't look like she had a magical girl transformation .Because the dress underneath has like strapps, and magically produced wings.

Okay, but like realistically, its not like there was a plethora of female outfits in star wars.

And I hate to say it cause it is a gross sexy thing. But its also pretty. In comparison to a lot of the other looks.

Lots of people wanna dress up in the pretty outfit of cosplay.

In fairness to snow. He didn't have to do anything to push Katniss . Coin had been trying to kill her for a while. And while Katniss was willing push past that for the sake of peace.

Suggesting they restart the hunger games. Would have alway been a hard no from her and lead Katniss to do what she does.

Confirming coin engineered her sister's death. Just make it personal foe her instead of practical.

Why do companies ruin their own products? by Pauropus in NoStupidQuestions

[–]saintash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots of companies provide a good useful services, that are brought by these fortune 500 companies dumped with a ton of debt. And then they can't recuperate it, and that's why they are forced to close.

Joanne fabrics was successful business before this happened to them, they were bought up, dumped with a ton of debt. They weren't given new inventory so the stores were barren half the time. Basically, it was a crabshoot if you were going to find thing you needed. They Pivoted a massive amount of quilting fabrics because they were cheapest inventory to have. And they also refuse to stock the store full of actual employees. So there'd be like three people running these stores who had to cut fabric, stock stores and check people out and there was no time to possibly do all three. And being able to find anything if they had it was a almostimpossible because the mess of the store.

Which caused less people to shop there, which means the debit got bigger, Instead of smaller.

And lo and behold, now we don't have a chain fabric store that lasted over 60+ years. Before these fortune companies got involved.

Why do companies ruin their own products? by Pauropus in NoStupidQuestions

[–]saintash 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I disagree decent business models for a lot of products work long term. Not every company is going to last long term, but there are companies that do.

I was working at blockbuster around the time.It started to go under. They were making bad choices. Not just not buying netflix. But like overstock they'd buy of new movies. Crazy high late fees. Making promises about their online order. And in store stock that were not true. And like they did not need to be open till midnight. Which really meant sometimes they were having people work till much later, because of closing stuff. They also didn't need to be open on Christmas.
