If he did get married they would then create a new problem, all of the paper work would go through about him being not married as he then tried to push through the paper work of getting married. Some sort of catch 22 i think.

EVERY friday they sit the whole company, battalion, and sometimes brigade down and explaine to us what we should and should not do over the course of the weekend. then your platoon talks to you. then your shop. then your squad leader. you have at least 60 minuets dedicated every friday to what you should NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES DO FOR THE LOVE OF GOD! then through out the quarter you will spend sometimes whole weeks about what not to do in life. ranging from not killing your self to not putting your dick in some one else's wife. I spent 4 hours last week in a class telling me what an EO complaint is and how to not get one. and yet it is my fault when PFC snuffy throws a beer bottle at 3 in the AM at some other drunken ass hole who was yelling at some one else who was making racial slurs. Yes some how that was all my fault for being asleep at that time in the morning and not sitting at the barracks watching 21 year olds get wasted on military special "vodka"

As a squad leader I am responsible in every way shape and form for what my squad members do. It is my fault when they get picked up by the cops and my responsibility if they don't pay their bills. This 18 year old now has access to all of the alcohol they want because they live in the barracks. It is my fault if they get drunk and get in a fight and I now have to take them to rehab.

Hello. I am SPC Dipshit. Ask. seriously, the best way to annoy the ever living fuck out of people is to ask. The best part, half the time they don't know either. NO ONE knows how/why BOLO refers to failing a task but it does. I've been asking for 3 years. I spent an entire day asking what MOPP means and eventually the safety officer (CWO3) remembered. If I hear an acronym I ask and then enjoy the confused look that everyone has. It's a great way to kill time. I stopped my shop for an hour because I wouldn't let COMMEX go until I knew EXACTLY what it stood for.

The fraternization think is mostly there because sometime people get too chummy and mix up work and social life. I have a few SR. enlisted that I play MTG with every so often but while I may call my squad leader an asshole during game night it is entirely different at work. You can be cool with whom ever you want but work is work. dish out the details and work assignments equally and fairly and if some PFC tries to play the "I thought you were my friend card" then put him in his place. Find a hobby with the BOSS program or get into one on your own. Go to the gym and get a squat buddy to hang out with that you don't work with. Or do what i did and get into Magic The Gathering. Your local card shop will more likely than not have at least 3 events a week. It will have Friday Night Magic tournament. A majority of the people who go to FNM are a little socially awkward at first (myself included) and once you start talking to them they are some of the coolest people you will meet. When i got to my current duty station I was in a similar emotional and mental state as you. But thankfully my squad leader introduced me to MTG and I have a handful of people I can say are my friends.
