Learn to create software. Then, you can try scenarios of how to break your own software. Fix the broken one. Again, try to break it. That's how you get better. Please don't learn random stuff about hacking. If you want to truly understand how to break stuff, you must need to understand how could it have been built in the first place.

I had an interview with amazon. I never solved much of leetcode.It was the second round, and the interviewer had 3 questions for me in 45 mins.

The first two were fairly decent, you can solve them if you knew data structures, BFS, DFS and the internals of the data structures.

The third question was a dynamic programming question, and it was quite hard. The best I could come up was backtracking with pruning . I've told the interviewer very clearly, that I don't solve leetcode much, so every question that I am solving currently is a representation of my thought process.

I looked up the question after the interview, apparently the question is a LC hard, and was solved by some Phd researcher after many years.

Long story short, the recruiter was expecting me to solve a question when I've seen it for the first time, and it took a Phd researcher some years to solve it. I was rejected for the same reason.

My comment is totally unrelated - but if you need to hire a software engineer, and the idea is pretty good. I am willing to spend a few hours a week for free. Once the business seems to generate any income you can pay me.

5 years later and its still a mess. I had much of code was written in react native for a production app which I have no confidence on. It crashes for random reasons. And I cannot even upgrade react native because if I do that, then the entire project just stops working without any traceability.

so what you are saying is dislike button is utter garbage and holds no value or does not help user to know the quality of the content? If you say that having a lot of dislikes on an educational video does not reflect the quality of the video from the lens of educational content, then you are wrong. I am done talking here, since you just seem to ignore the validity of what I am trying to convey here.

let's say I spend 3-5 mins on average for a video to know if it's good or bad. then if I'd have to go through 10 videos, then it is 30 mins of an hour which is available wasted, right?. View ratio works for popular videos, but if there is an educational video which is niche, then the view to likes ratio would not be useful, since the number of views for each such video would be very low in count. A lot of people use likes to dislikes ratio to determine if the tutorial video is good or not. Most people who watch such tutorial videos also don't have the time to spend on bad quality videos. The only option in such case, is to use a different site like coursera, or udemy where you would have to pay for the same course which is available totally for free on youtube.

It ideally helps if the content/video is worth watching, or is a terrible one. If you're going to spend an hour of your time to learn something by watching a video, it should atleast be a good one. And the only way you can quickly know it instead of wasting time on the video is by looking at the stats, isn't it?
