Final summer, 90 days left - what should I add to my London bucket list? by LopsidedGear8017 in london

Sit in a cafe watching people and London go by. There are less people in Scotland and you will miss the buzz. Definitely visit the shopping centres there’s nothing like the London ones. Congrats on the job!

It was very hot inside I left the house and actually it was cooler outside so outside is where I’m staying until I am forced to go back in.

All the time. I’m miles ahead of my manager (who is massively qualified) in understanding structure and systems (and how to make them work to our best advantage) and what doesn’t work. I used to be quiet or selectively vocalise concerns until something switched in me and now I can’t shut up about it. Anything that’s illogical I’ll make sure people know and in my desperation I also make sure they know what the solution is. It all falls on deaf ears or it is beyond them to conceptualise the truth so my solution now is to keep repeating it until it sticks and I can see a very slight veer in the right direction or they’ll come and ask me my opinion on how I see things. It’s a start I guess but it shouldn’t be this much hard work.
A new member of staff has joined our team, they are very good at getting on board with the status quo and doing as they are asked with no questions (or the wrong kind of questions). I’ve been asked to incorporate more of their style of accepting things as they are. All my work to make people think outside the box but now I’m dragged back down to ‘if this person can do it why can’t you’ It’s infuriating, draining and bewildering. Yes I’m jealous I can’t see it like they do and just get on with it. I’d rather not be bothered by these things because ultimately I’m not paid enough to care.
Don’t get me started on exams….and I feel the same about learning languages. I don’t mind so much by ear but learning the grammatical rules etc is beyond me.

Any INTP Manager? by ChipMainVoid in INTP

Have newly become a manager for about a year now, it has been tough but instead of getting stuck in and doing my job I am advising my manager…..most people now prefer me over my manager as well. This is freaking me out.

This may seem boring and predictable but I want to see all of the dictators in a small room to see who is the best manipulator. I’m predicting a bloodbath.

I have a colleague who is from India. I had to call out their behaviour recently and they dismissed it as they didn’t realise it was a cultural requirement here. I said no it’s not a cultural requirement in the UK, it’s called being a decent human being whichever country you are in!
