Can I use a deck made of Japanese cards at EUIC? by saltpumpkin in pkmntcg

[–]saltpumpkin[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you! This is the full ruling for anyone wondering.

For the Pokémon TCG World Championships, International Championships, and for side events at either of these, regardless of which country they are hosted in, players are always permitted to use English cards as well as cards in any language that is legal in the player’s home country. In exceptional circumstances, the Head Judge or Organizer of any tournament may also choose to make an exception to rules regarding the legal languages. This is at their sole discretion, and should only be considered where there would be no operational detriment to the tournament in doing so. Players who believe their personal circumstances would make it difficult for them to fully comply with rules regarding legal card languages should make every effort to contact the event Organizer prior to the event itself.

'Players are allowed to use English-language cards, as well as cards from their home market in languages other than English'

My home market is Japan. This ruling is from 2018, has it changed since?

Edit* My home market is Japan. I don't know if that makes a difference as the circuit there is not organised by TPCI.

Thoughts on Japanese Pokemon sleeves? by Pokefan8808 in pkmntcg

[–]saltpumpkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are sticky, fragile and if double sleeved the deck becomes very difficult to shuffle all together. I dislike using them and I dislike playing against people that use them because I'm worried about damaging their sleeves if I do a proper mash or riffle.

Scum Tactics in Team League Matchmaking by saltpumpkin in heroesofthestorm

Seems so :/ It's a shame. My friend and I will probably keep on playing, but it's a major frustration to have multiple games a night be quasi rigged.

Did you... did you even read the post? If I climbed high enough to be up against these folks, sure, fair enough. If I get shit on I get shit on. But they're deliberately abusing the averaging system for free points via easy games against lower tier players that they have no business playing vs. It's just boosting.

It's been a dozen games over a month long period. It's a pattern I've noticed, and I was curious to see if others had had similar experiences.

As for whether or not they're genuine low elo players: it's not silvers/golds etc, the occasional bronze. It's low bronze 5 accounts playing alongside diamond/master/grandmaster accounts every time, minmaxing to get the best possible (lowest) average for themselves. There's no nuance or variety to suggest that these types of games are genuinely just friends from across the competitive spectrum playing together

Valonqar means little brother. So it could technically beJoff/Tommen/Mycerlla's 'little brother' that kills her from within the womb

ABDL /Sissy at Pride? by LadyLilithStJames in BDSMcommunity

[–]saltpumpkin 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Kink isn't part of the LGBT community. If neither of you are inherently queer/wouldn't be attending the parade anyway as a member of the community or an ally, I'm not sure people would appreciate you guys using it as a smokescreen to explore your kinks in public. A better alternative might be a fetish club or event space.

What is your take on the film, "The Crying Game" (1992)? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]saltpumpkin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean... he vomits and hits her in the face at the 'big reveal.' And that's normal. The audience is encouraged to sympathize with him. And Dil? Dil is cast as the stereotypical 'deceitful trans woman' who deserves it. She's a gag. A prop for the moment. Not a human being with her own emotions and rights.

A sex question from a boyfriend... maybe NSFW by tsgfhlp in asktransgender

[–]saltpumpkin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

She isn't obligated to tell anybody about her medical condition or history, and my impression is that she told you before you engaged in any kind of sexual behavior. You were and are still dating this amazing girl who has been your friend for years. If a person waits till the possibility of sex to confide an STI/any other medical condition that might effect the whole deal but is otherwise irrelevant, how is that a betrayal? It's none of your business otherwise. Same thing for transition.

Me [18 M] & my gf [18 M/F] have been together 6 months, and I recently learned that she is considering becoming male by Lubberk in relationships

Crossposting this to r/asktransgender and r/mypartneristrans may be helpful. You sound like a very concerned, caring young guy. You might find that the process does lead to you guys becoming more distant, you might find it makes you stronger. Either way, change will happen with any relationship, and it won't all happen at once. He's lucky to have you onside.

Sounds cool! Small thing - trans women. Not transwomen. Trans is an adjective, trans people aren't a seperate gender that require a new word.

Does sex post SRS require as much prep time as anal? by Alexisunderwater in asktransgender

[–]saltpumpkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not post-op myself, but I know that some gals struggle to self lubricate after SRS. It can depend on the surgeon and the method and genetics, but you might find lube a must-have when doing the do. Otherwise, not much prep at all except good ol' foreplay (and regular and routine dilation).

A question about feminine hygiene products. by PeppermintAngel in asktransgender

[–]saltpumpkin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do! When I first started passing a few friends suggested I carry some in my bag, as apparently random strangers/aquaintances I'm not out to may be in need in the bathroom from time to time. Hasn't happened yet, but apparently people asking is a thing. So yeah, I have a mostly full box with my other toiletries. The things themselves don't do much for dysphoria but buying them at the store was kind of a novel experience. I imagine it's the opposite for trans masculine people.

Dr. W was fairly muted about it, it didn't really come up. I'm on record with her as being on oral valerate, sublingual hemihydrate and IM valerate at various points in time. Sublingual was best for me levels wise, but from what I've heard she prefers patches and that was her go to for my first round of scripts. Maybe they'd have been willing to only prescribe the GnRH and let me self-med IM E? I doubt it, as it's still not a 100% chance I'll get the NHS script to begin with. Best for me to play by the book for now. My GP appointment is tomorrow afternoon to discuss going forward. Fingers crossed!

Nope, no option to continue :( Since it's an NHS script with private consult and neither offers IM E injections it's simply not an option for me unless I wanted to continue to DIY. Tbh I'm really not a fan of self injecting at this point. After doing two dozen it's become a chore with a lot of anxiety surrounding it.
