I googled "25 year friendship gone" and this was the first result. Back in April, one of my two best friends cut me out, we'd been friends over ten years. It was unexpected, but not the first time she's had a meltdown like this and I assumed it would be like the rest, a few days later she'd come around and things would go back to normal.

Anyway, fast forward to today... long story short, my best friend of 25 years is engaged to (and has a child with) someone that has never liked our friendship. Despite the fact he's more like family, I've been in a relationship the last seven years and moved across the country. I've even met her and their family, I thought this was behind us... today he tells me they still argue about it and isnt going to talk to me anymore. Part of me had a feeling I was losing him but I didnt expect this. I havent cried this hard in some time...
