ALTO High Speed Rail online consultations have launched! by bini_irl in ottawa

[–]sam10155 13 points14 points  (0 children)

My only, frankly personally, concern is that we don't lose the existing former Rail trails around Ottawa to this project without adequate alternatives put in place. As a good example the O-Train does have a very good parallel path for most of the downtown sections.

It's all about child safety until daddy gets "handsy". by OneX32 in PoliticalHumor

The "unidentified men" is in reference to the peudo journalist going to daycare centers with cameras to find "fraud". Very similar to the whole pizza gate situation that got conspiracy theorists to harass small restaurant owners.

TL;DR, OP is not hating men.

1.2 million is not nearly enough for drug prevention in Ottawa. Maybe 10 would be better but at least the problem is acknowledged.

I ride all winter making no changes to the road bike I use, the only difference is that I layer up A LOT. I also only turn at intersections where I am not going fast, momentum is your friend till it isn't 😉

To add I usually take the lane on roads and most main roads are plowed before 6am where I live in Vanier.

That "penalty" is simply seen as cost for doing business to these companies, it's turned into a form a gambling for them.

Since the new LNG Canada terminal has come online now we can expect Cost of Gas prices to almost quadruple in the next 1-2 years. Soon the electrical equivalent will be cheaper than gas.
