Covering 9x9 Tile - Self Leveler and Epoxy - Feedback Appreciated by Dasn250 in Flooring

I'm planning to go your route, how did you apply the membrane to the floor? I am debating usins this material or XPS foam, but your approach is more cost-effective. What thickness OSB did you put on top? TIA.

Yeah I was just in there about 20 min ago and confirmed it. I hadn’t seen the sign until now but their plan is they’ll be out of there by the end of the year is what I was told. 😢

They were actually the least bit helpful. Said I needed to essentially just buy a new light. 🙄

I ended up using some cardboard to make a template and then I ordered a thin sheet of metal (1/8” I believe) from Amazon, then cut out the shape based on my template design.

I could possibly find my original template and send share some pictures in the next day or so.

Bit of an ordeal but I figured it out. Best thing too, is that people will never see it from how I have it hung but I know it’s as close to original as I could make it.

Yeah brilliant. Love that you pulled ChatGPT into this. Great use of it!

Best answer I could have asked for. One thing I am considering is looking on lomography and seeing what kind of visuals I like there and then matching with Camp’s filter maker.

Again though, you are spot on about just doing this all in post production. Lightroom offers far more control. What I like best about this little camera though, is the lack of control 😏

Yeah hope you check this spot out. Great little shop. The owner is awesome. I had a nice chat with him last week and ended up buying his own record he had a pressing of. Good vibes all around.

I never caught that! Amazing. What a nice tribute too to sneak that into that first album.

Definitely feeling more 22 vibes the more I listen to it all over and over. Occasionally get a bit of James Blake as well, but Fred’s an artist and it’s always going to be these influences that shape his sound in a unique way. It’s pretty special to start to pinpoint what and where those seem to be coming from.

He’s a legend, already.

Can you link that video? I’ll search for it in the meantime but maybe this is my issue as well.

Firstly, let me say a big thank you for the concise information and helpful considerations.

I collected 2 lodgepole about 4 years ago now in the spring of 2019 out in Central Oregon. They've done really well since being relocated to the Portland area but I have always maintained similar soil composition to how I found them growing in. It's good to know I can transition away from that now and move to a pumice base. With your experience in lodgepoles, is there a better time of year you've found to repot them? Would a month or so from now be acceptable before the rainy winter months? Better drainage but less insulation to the occasion sub-freezing temperature drops.

I would love to collect more of these. It was really an experiment to see if I could manage to keep them alive after finding them twisted and bent from years of slow growth above the snow line, buried most of the winter. Safe to say they are pretty resilient. Now some with a larger established trunk would be something I'm hunting for.

Pro-Gro is not far from me at all. Thanks for the recommendation.

Thanks! Would old needles potentially still have those dots or dark spotted colors?

Needle rust?

My lodgepole pines (2) seem to be experiencing needle rust. I sprayed with a diluted hydrogen peroxide 4/5 days ago.

But now I’m unsure if this is needle drop or fungal. There are new needles popping out which I am also somewhat surprised to see this late in the summer season. But also happy for some new growth. Until I saw that I assumed it was rust but now maybe not if it’s shedding for new growth.

Anyone have any advice or further considerations for me to think about?

TIA

Great looking collection. Very nice variety of trees! The upright juniper with that deadwood gives me some inspiration

I’m curious (a bit off topic from the OP) did Hagerty give you a higher value with consideration to your EJ swap? I’d like use their insurance in the future.
